Hmm, so I will try the 80, then go up to the if I need to. What exactly am I looking for here? How do I know that I should switch again?

I installed the 80, and now I can barely get to 7000 rpm and barely climbed to 25-30mph! Any ideas? Should I go higher than the that was in there before? The exhaust is loud, that's about it...

Do you think there will be a significant difference between and ? I was thinking that now that I'm at 80, maybe I should put back the 5g sliders...

4gram is too light unless you are 250 pounds or more

Just a thought have you tried running it with the outer air box off? Check the snorkle on the air box.

I don't have the stock airbox. I have a Uni-style filter on a short clamp.

Installed a 110 jet! Exhaust sounded a lot better, got up to 6000 rpm quickly, and went to 30-35 tops. Maybe it's this humid Florida swamp weather? Going to try 4.5g slider mix... I need that boost at 7500 rpm to get over 30 mph, I think.

that's a huge jet you sure you don't have an air leak from the intake?

The air filter is just a foam cylinder clamped onto the carb, not sure where it would leak. 4.5g sliders were better, but just barely hit 7000 rpm, 35 mph tops. Going to go back to 4g with this new jetting and see how it does. My bike is heavy, the air is hot and humid, so it kinda makes sense... We'll see how it goes.

Have you checked your plug? I have a bbk and Uni. I use an MJ. Is your Uni filter oiled?

That 1P39QMB might be a "secret 60". don't know much about the taotaos but from what ive been able to conclude is that the P means it either has the long 69mm valves or has a 44mm bore kit, like my first engine did. So maybe a slightly larger jet would work, but im no expert on carbs...
And my scoot LOVES the humidity! always runs about 5mph faster when I take it out after a rain storm.

4g sliders are where it's at! I was able to get up to 45/50mph at around 7500 rpm.
The #110 mj definitely brought the power back that I lost with the exhaust/4g sliders, but my fuel tank is definitely suffering now.
Maybe I will try the #100 sometime... I just hope I don't lose any power because the whole carb removal process is tedious.
