i like this one better and prefer "buy it nows". you really can't put too much weight in them or you could break your luggage rack. at least don't ride around with a lot of weight in them. it's perfect to store a rain suit or bringing home a bag of grocery's but i wouldn't store too many tools in there.

Personally, I'm not partial to luggage cases. But I like the gloss better. Looks nicer. Just make sure the inside dimensions are enough for your needs, ie fit your helmet etc.

Don't get a cheap trunk! Both the ones that came with my scoots didn't even close right and the plastic was cheap and brittle. Anything I put in them bounce and rattled around like crazy over every bump. That one looks like you are going to have to drill your own holes in the bottom to use that mounting plate (at least it comes with a plate...) Do you ride 2-up much? That 'backrest' on it does not look very comfortable!
Also, make sure you dont get a trunk made for a big-frame scooter, those are HUGE and might look funny on yours, lol!!!

[replyingto=domindart]domindart[/replyingto]I like the rounded one better. It fits the shapes on your scooter much better. The other one would look too much like a suitcase. This one would look more like a natural part of your scooter.

None of them look to be removeable. The removeable ones have a button under the lock, so you can lift it off or latch it back on when you want to use it. Maybe the first one is, thats why there are no holes for bolts. It "latches in". Mine is like that, but I bolted it in anyway, because I never remove it.They are great to have. I love mine, and it's big too, Doesn't interfere at all.(just don't fill it with lead or scrap iron)LOL

I like the look of not having one......but I sure use mine a lot,... daily. I can't imagine not having it handy. A removable would be nice though.

I've got a seat bag on mine. Hooks underneath, holds my purse and work shoes and my towel ('cause I'm a hoopy frood who really knows where her towel is) and my helmet bag. And seems like something else--oh, my clipboard thingy. Would probably hold my helmet if I wanted. But that goes inside with me. Neat extra is it gives just a touch of back support. I suppose if it's full of purse etc and I lean back it would do more. But driving normally it just presses into my back. Probably more psychological that physical support, but it's nice. And then you don't have that big bulky thing hanging off the back end of your scoot. >'Kat

I'll keep my eyes open and look more. I don't ride two up at all. I like the glossy one better but I'm afraid its too large for my scooter.. My cycle gear store doesn't carry top boxes.. I wish there was a store, maybe I'll try another cycle store that is in my area.. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUGGESTIONS.

The box that I got with my first scooter matched well, but about 2 weeks into using it, it wouldn't latch anymore because the metal lock component was so poorly attached. The latch on it would not hook under the bar to keep it closed. I had to use a bungie cord to keep it shut. Just be careful how much money you save or all your stuff will end up on the road.

[replyingto=salracer]sailracer[/replyingto]I would stay away from the removable ones . I have had 2 types and both have gone flying after a nice bump. soft one looks nice .
