My Tao Tao 50 wont start and on the rare occasion that it does, it will bog down immediately and stall out. I have checked the spark plug and it is fine, i have checked the oil filter, i have changed the oil, I has gas. I raised the Idle and that worked for a while, i have even tried letting it warm up my holding the throttle for up to 5 minutes and as soon as i let go it stalls. The kickstart broke a while ago so i use the electric start (The battery is charged and working well) I dont know exactly how to check the Corroborator (I live in CT and i cant find anyone around here that will take a look at it, They say "We dont touch those because they are off brand scooters") My friend tried to help me take a look at it and said it may be a Compression issue. Can anyone help me or know of anyone in the Danbury/New Milford CT area that can help?

Adjust the idle with a long screwdriver through the hole in the bucket (under seat compartment).

[replyingto=alleyoop]alleyoop[/replyingto]We already had adjusted the idle and that stopped working, and I honestly don't know how to adjust a valve, I'm not good with mechanical things, Do you know of anyone around my area that would be able to look at it?

I don't know that area well, sorry. Here is a video to give you an idea if you can do it yourself.

valves are the fisrt thing to try then look for ur compression 2 biggest things i always had problems with
also take the carb apart and clean ur jets out with wires it can be from sitting and gas clumped up
