[replyingto=petrol42]petrol42[/replyingto]Znen leaks: Been there doing that. Brand new build. Rode it twice and it's dripping oil and blew the clutch. Took it all apart again. Re-checked everything. Applied some RTV. Re-torqued carefully. Think I have the leak stopped now.

But the leak is definitely on the left side of the engine (perspective sitting on bike) because the inside of this panel is splashed on the left side only.

It looks like its coming from the valve cover O-ring gasket in the front and running back to that spot where your pulling the cover open on....if its the valve cover o-ring its a very easy repair,,I have faith you can do it...are the valve cover bolts nice and snug? They might just be loose and need tightening,,if they are snug I suspect the o-ring under the cover,,you will see it when you pop the cover off,,you can clean up the area real nice with carb or brake cleaner then apply some Indian Head gasket Shellac(sold at Auto Zone)then put it back together,,snug it up,,it will NEVER leak again,,believe me...unless your leak is from the head or base gasket which I think its not. Good luck..let us know how you make out!! While your down there,,check the two nuts on the exhaust pipe that go into the motor,,make sure they are snug,,sometimes they vibrate loose too Tommy ;D

i looked for a vid that would show you what jerseyboy is instructing you to do... this was the best i could find. your scoot should have a rubber o-ring and you can apply the gasket compound he recommended over it.
hope this helps and doesn't add to the confusion.

Start at 1:45 where he is preparing to put the lid back on. Heck, maybe I need to watch it too. Another ride and mine is still leaking.
