I like night riding... I actually feel more visible at night with all the LED's, they really stand out. My headlights suck too, and the adjuster is stripped out, but anywhere I'd be going has plenty of streetlights.

I may find a reason to go out tonight! Wonderful evening even though they say rain is in the near future

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one on the road at night, around here. Less traffic, no one riding your tail, makes for a good ride.

Thanks for that. The quality of video is crap but it sounds affordable at 30 quid (don't know what that is in US dollars) My JVC video camera is awesome. I paid like $200 for it. Its a flip out LCD view camera and I'm not sure I can get it to mount on anything. I saw a mount pack at Wal-mart for $25 but I can take it back if it doesn't work. I may try that. If I can get my JVC to mount and take steady video then that would be ideal, I'm not sure how much you can edit it though. I'd like to speed it up and put music. Thirty quid, about $45.52 American.

I guess riding at nite being more relaxing depends on where you live, last night coming home from work, I saw a deer running along side the road, kept watching the deer until it went down a ditch and darted off the other direction.. But riding along waiting to see what the deer would do was a little nerve racking...
I guess i got lucky even seeing it that time of nite...

Here's a cute true story, My parent were driving to town, it was at night, and they had to drive 8 miles... Along the way my mom saw a deer approaching from the right side of the truck, she said to my dad, "Deer" He said "What ?", she again said in an excited voice "Deer !" again my father asked "What !".. At that point it was too late.. And they hit the deer.
From that point on, anytime anybody sees a "Deer" yells brick... Nothing good about a brick when driving... LOL

Duck is another one. Had a workmate get stranded overnight in a dead air zone (no cell phone coverage) when a saw bill duck flew into his pickups radiator and disabled the truck when it lost all the coolant. He cleaned up the mess and found a second duck hit his camper cap cutting through to the inside and made an even bigger mess where he was planning to sleep while he waiting for morning.
A good sized bird can do a lot of damage. Imagine getting hit by one in the chest or throat area.
