Hi, you can't delete accounts, sorry. If you don't want to visit the forum anymore, justy don't visit. That's the simplest way.

To me it is non issue.
If you do not want the emails, let them know.
Is it the same as what I sent to the members there, no my email was to inform the members that scootdawg was still up and going, nothing more.
Like JR I am a member there but have not got the email.

howdy, i didn't mean to stir up the stuff. my point was that i don't ever remember going to that site or registering and the only way they had my info was from sd.com. i don't think it is right to take mailing list from some other site and spam them. just personal opinion, not bashing. sorry hank, i wouldn't purposely do something to stir up stuff. everyone who made the point just delete and go away happy is right also. the add was well done and not offensive aside from the list issue.

It's not an issue to me either but for the OP he simply voiced that he got an email even though he wasn't a member and he didn't see that as good, his right to his opinion.
Now as far as it is the same thing that was done over at the old site, I totally disagree from several stand points, not bashing the other forum but stating it as I see it.
One if the link and email that was sent by Doug letting everyone know that dawg.com was moving was to members only at dawg.com and wasn't in any way sending out any information dealing with another forum or it's members. You may say that members here are there too and that's true but I'm sure they have some new members that have never been here on the old site so the email that was sent to the members of dawg.com didn't go to or have any effect on those members. We moved from a no choice situation with permission rather than moving because of the reasons set forth by others who got all of this started. Totally different.
You say it was only a news letter so the news letter should be sent to the members at dawg.net and not to non-members of that forum. I myself would not send a news letter from this site to other members there except members that had the same email address here as over there. The news letter from net is reaching members here that are not members at dawg.net and some are voicing the fact they don't want the emails at all from dawg.net.
Lastly Mike has mentioned on several occasions that the software used by his forum is better so it should be very easy to just send it to only his actual members. If some don't mind the news letter than that's their choice and right but for those that don't want it he is just like all the people who send out the annoying spam emails on Yahoo and correct me if I'm wrong, didn't he say that spam was a big issue with a Proboards forum?

Terrilee you need to take that up with dawg.net. This thread was about unwanted emails and I understand your frustration but that matter is between you and them.

At this point I have not received the news letter email and I am a member but my account is registered under a yahoo email account and I've seen it take 2 or 3 days to come, don't ask me why? I'll not get upset over it, I am a member so I would think it would go out on the member roster there. If you have made the concerns known to Mike then let's hope by all means he takes your suggestion under consideration and only emails the current membership at his forum to date. JR Hi JR I shall make it a priority, andi m sure he will as im a moderator there now and would hope he listens to and accepts his staffs suggestions Im also suggesting to him that when he does send an email out to any one that it includes the option of being removed from the mailing list Take care and ride safely dear friend Yours Hank Hank I read your post on the Newsletter thread and it appears that it has been deleted. Here is a really good one for you all to ponder, I went to register they took my information but I am not authorized to POST , I am ghost member just for the member count(HAHA). I emailed the mod or whatever he is as well as mike and NEITHER ONE RESPONDED( I know why). But they sure where quick to sent me that newsletter using the email I tried to register with(go figure).
If I wanted to I can go and register anytime, takes me 5 minutes to change my IP address and email address and come on with some funky name. But for what, I see nothing of value over there that appeals to me and besides his rules and restrictions on the forum are many and some very restrictive and hindering.

I blocked it and bounced it back to sender...that way its like the email address isnt valid anymore..Dont know if it will work but if i get anymore sent to me it'll go straight to trash folder...

i posted once asking How to delete my account, because on PRO B u can go to modify profile & delete your account,
he deleted the thread
i posted again, he deleted it again
i waited awhile and posted 'saying nasty words to see if i could a response from anyone ,,,before he deleted the post
and got banned
its ok, if he wants to have false info as to actual members
for revenue purposes, its deceitful, lying, etc.
but heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
and to think i posted another another thread about how i felt sorry for him, for spending all that money. if he woulda just followed the rules, because he was a member here |
