If your not able to do some of the upgrades i mentioned above you can try to open up the stock air box by putting a couple holes in it. This may help a bit.

Thanks Geh3333....I like the fuel bypass idea....gravity always is working.....unlike everything else I touch.....
I may have a no spark issue....well I'm pretty sure....I was trying to see the spark as I used the remote....but could not see it. I gathered my gonads and held on with my fingers....nothing....I changed out the cdi and coil...still nothing.....now I have to figure out the electrical system on this thing.....

Could be the voltage regulator behind the headlights. The power comes from the stator to the v regulator then to the components.

No prob. Also the headlight could have burned up because of a bad regulator. Have you replaced it already? You havent been able to get it running though to check it right?

I would think it still should run off the battery though....when I was checking the headlight circuit with a multi-meter the reading was so inconsistent I could not even read the voltage.....that was before it quit running.....today is another day.... I am still hopeful it is something simple......not!!!! lol

If you have a bad voltage regulator uour scoot will not run.if your cdi is ac then then the battery has nothing to do with the cdi. So bad regulator = nonrunning scoot

Well.....I am the retard among retards.....first thing I read in troubleshooting was -----kill switch-----what a jerk!!!....
So....now that I am the forum idiot.....maybe my carb cleaning has helped me some.....gonna log off a bit and start putting things back together......
I have a bunch of old garden tractors with 40 year old engines that I can rebuild blindfolded and this little thing is kicking my ....hahahahahahaha......sometimes aggravation can lead to euphoria.....kinda like banging your head against the wall....feels so good when you stop.....
Thanks for all the patience forum members.....

Found this guide that helps me understand the carb a little more......I can visualize the fuel flow so when Alleyoop's tips are questionable as to why??? this helps me to see why..... www.iwt.com.au/mikunicarb.htmGuess most of these carbs are similar...... Well here we go....see what happens......

I see you questioned Adams County.....Gettysburg is just about dead center and I live about 2 miles from the northern border directly above it.....

Looks like the petcock is the culprit again.. ..that is the second time now in the short time I have had this thing. Credit to Buford and Alleyoop.....thanks guys..... Alley...a couple years ago you helped me solve the same issue..... Anyway, before I order another one....,which I really would not like to, I would like to investigate the possibility of going manual. This one screws into the tank....if anybody has some ideas or howto's please chime in. Maybe the ethanol eats these things up.....gonna get it siphoned out and check my options....

Here is what I have done.....I cut the back off the vacuum petcock and removed the insides, a spring and diaphragms,....cleaned it up and cut a small piece of sheet metal to cover the back. I used JB Weld to coat both sides of the sheet metal and coated the outside. I have used JB Weld on fuel tanks before and I hope this will hold up....we will see tomorrow...24 hour cure time.... I changed the oil....figure maybe some fuel may have leaked past the piston and rings into the crankcase. Then I tried starting the scooter with what fuel was left in the carb bowl....fired right up...things are looking up.....
