[replyingto=scootnwinn]scootnwinn[/replyingto]I paid 10k for my Honda VTX 1800 and it had 110 HP to the rear wheel after I put the hyper charger,computer,and pipes on it,,the HD that are twice the price had 69 HP,,and you would need to spend another 7K to eqaul the HP my bike had,,so to me its a no brainer,,HD are nice for what they are,,but I think they are way to big for their britches anymore ;D

Why don't you get a real bike is just a code word for. I want to show the world that I am and individual so I buy in to the marketing hype and go in hock up to my eye balls. On a bike that scares the heck out of me. Then I will put a whole 200 miles in a season but only if it sunny between 70F and 75F and (fill in the blank lets me). And then to show my individuality I go down to the bike shop and buy all the right clothes so I can look like every one else. What! you want me to learn to ride . I have better things to spend my money on than rider training like the latest chrome doohickey that every one else has. Practice I don't have time to practice that chrome won't polish it's self you know. How dare you have more riding skills than me on a ride that cost less than what I pay on insurance. Your are having to much fun get back in line and be and individual like me.  |

Ok i got to say this. I like HD motorcycles. I like all types of riders. What gets me is people who put down scooters and the people who ride them. I love my scooter. Im also about to buy a Honda ctx700. I guess then my motorcycle wont be a REAL bike because its automatic. But anyway, Yall ride safe this holiday. I wont be able to ride before monday!!!! We got storms coming!

Have owned and worked on many of both when I used to restore and fix bikes in the mid 80's to late  's . Just like in the scooter world Vespa is held up to the same attitude by many that if it ain't a vespa it ain't s@&€ . Lol ....they rust, are grossly over priced , slow ( by comparison unmodified like say a kymco like 200i and a vespa px150 ......or Honda vs vespa gts series .....) I had a old Yamaha sx650 that was bobbed , shaved, had hipo cam, 750 overbore kit , custom pipes I made in the shop , with velocoty stacks on the carbs . It would flat out smoke my friends soft tail . But to each his own I say ...it is the ride |

That FrankenBike Harley is quite a monster. Part Evo part Shovelhead with a seasoned drag racer riding it. In the short race it will blow away a sport bike easily with no need for any fakery.
Poor Rickey didn't have a chance against an experienced codger on a custom ratbike Harley.

Heck forget Vespa, if I remember correctly the number 1 selling scooter in Italy is either the Honda Sh150i or the Sh300!
