As some of you read, i have a driver that insulted my scoot. WELL as i pulled into work saturday we asked (same dude) "so when are you gonna grow up and get a REAL bike?" So i asked the question "What is a real bike? AND GUESS WHAT HE SAID? "HARLEY" I got so pissed but still gotta be professional. So i "politely told him that he has no idea what a REAL bike is. AND i reminded him that im his boss. AND i educated him on HD motorcycles. But then he stated that Harley is the ONLY REAL bike!!!! I walked away!!  |

i wouldn't ride a harley if it was given to me... ok, well i would ride it home then put it up for sale.  can't they put a REAL muffler on those noise machines? |

i wouldn't ride a harley if it was given to me... ok, well i would ride it home then put it up for sale. can't they put a REAL muffler on those noise machines? if i bought a motorcycle is NOT be a harley!!! I would buy a crotch rocket before i bought a harley!!! |

Tell him hes better off mounting 2x10hp Briggs and Stratton motors on a frame than riding a Harley,,most if not all that Harley stuff is not even manufactured in USA anymore...lol

I guess that"s why Honda,victory ,suzuki, and even kawasaki at one time have all attempted to copy harley davidsons. It got so bad, that the harley sound is actually PATENTED. so quite obviously, harleys are no good  I'm not saying the guy was right,(far from it) But in the motorcycle world, Harley Is King. the rest strive for that "Status". They say immitation is the best form of flattery ;D BTW-you should fire that guy.... no respect for authority. If he's that familiar with you now. what about in a year?  |

[replyingto=salracer]sailracer[/replyingto]Anything under  degree angle has a more even fire but poor mechanical balance causing a cam lump sound,,think HD is set up around 45 deg.they get a nice lumpy sound at idle,,but when you hammer the fuel they are all show no go...my 02'Inline 4 Kawasaki would beat any HD in 1st gear. They are nice for cruising around though,,but not a big fan of the balance issues vibrating mirrors blurry,,and the attitudes that these lifestyle bikers have is plain funny if you ask me,,I personally know a few....LMDAO!!! BTW-I had a  ' Kaw.Vulcan 1500,,it sounded and ran just like a HD,only difference was it didn't leak oil everywhere I parked it...lol |

Yup, definitely HIGH MAINTENANCE.and a bit unreliable too,But dont all Kings have issues?

Harley's are a dying art, I'm 15 and I ride a cheap chinese scooter because it is all i can afford. If I was givin a brand new Harley I would still ride my velocity because Harley's are just too loud and annoying. I would like a honda metropolitan though (: I think a real bike is whatever gets you where you need to go!
