Those are not only for testing but for daily use
Ive yet to see a roller tuning kit that uses sliders

I'm interested in a set for my TaoTao ATM50.
Gas mileage drops down now that I use it way less, to 95MPG. I thought perhaps I'd exchange the rollers for sliders, and get better torque in the process.
What's your recommended avg RPMs to start shifting gears? Currently my Tao does ~6,5k-7k RPM, (without load does ~10k rpms; hard to say without tach), but drops quickly to 5kRPM. Then it takes a while for it to go back to 6 or 7.

I'm just looking for a bit better acceleration.

They're still stock.
I'm just contemplating, if it's worth changing them. I probably could improve acceleration a bit, not much, but a bit. Just am not sure if I would want to go through the trouble to fix it.
Currently a lot of forum and ride time, but very little wrenching time.

I can definitely attest to that, I am currently running with one of those Variators and I actually bought 2 from JOHN. I bought one from John and liked it so much I bought another one from john. It is a performance variator 114-115mm. It has good ramp angles and pulley face curvature and handles low and top end very well.

That was your CY50-A 2012 model? I dont know what my CY50-A 2012 has in it yet to see which direction I need to go with the rollers/ sliders. I am stock and looking for a bit better take off and more consistency on moderate hills.
