I was riding along, cruising at about half throttle, and I slowly started losing power, and finally stalled. I tried starting it again, but it would not start. I noticed very little resistance on the kick starter, so I knew I had lost compression. I took the head and the cylinder off and there was a lot of burn marks on the side of the piston below the rings, and both the head and base gaskets were shot. The cylinder looks ok, but there is so much carbon built up around the exhaust port I would have to use a dremel to get rid of it! Fortunately, a friend of mine sold me a brand new top end kit for $75. So, my little Honda should be back on the road again soon.

Just make sure your not running excessively rich now or you may have a repeat performance. Hopefully yourmuffler is not partially plugged also.
