I went to kick start Scooter and I must have summoned the power of the Hulk and broke the crankcase around my kick start I put it back together and I got it to start but I think I am having a different all together just wondering if a hole in the crankcase will stop it from running.

Nope some people drill extra holes so the cvt stays cool.

That is the cvt cover. The kick start should really be used for a backup if the battery does or starter breaks while out. The covers are weak. You can ride with the cvt cover broken.

Let's clarify a bit. Did you crack the CVT cover around the kick start lever or the back socket for the kick start exposing the inside of the crankcase?
If the inside of the crankcase is exposed you do need to seal that up or you will have engine oil all over the belt and dirt getting into the crankcase.

it is the outside case in a circle around the kick start. I removed the kick start and I can see right into the case.

it is the outside case in a circle around the kick start. I removed the kick start and I can see right into the case. Those have been known to fail. That is the CVT cover and not the crankcase. You can get a replacement fairly cheaply. Did you just remove the lever outside the case by loosening the clamp ot did you take off the CVT cover and remove the kickstarter shaft? If you left the shaft hanging with a broken case is could get pulled into the variator and jamb things up so you are better off removing the cover and the kick starter shaft sealing the hole so no dirt or water gets inside. Covering the hole is more important if you leave the bike outside or ride during or just after it has rained.

ok then its just the CVT cover. I took the cover off and pulled out the kick start shaft. I just have a hole in the case now
