Any benefits in doing this other than a little less heat on Variator/Clutch/Belt?
I was thinking too cut the round area off with my 4"angle,,exposing the clutch bell,,maybe get a chrome bell as well,,it would look cool I think.
Or maybe just cut some lines or design in the cover to help air flow.
Id like to hear and see some of your ideas.
Heck if you don't like it or mess it up,,the covers are cheap enough no worries.
Good Times....

I cut the right back of the cvt that covers the clutch. I cut it on an angle. I also cut the bottom of the drive face on the cvt. My drive face is an ncy fanless drive face. Wont hurt should help with heat.

It allows the possibility of stuff getting in there. Get stuck in the rain, good chance your belt starts slipping.

[replyingto=justin010304]justin010304[/replyingto]I'm not too worried about stuff getting in there,,and I hate riding in the rain,,so not too worried about that either.
I'm gonna cut it this week,,Ill cut where the clutch bell is and file then paint,,so it will look pretty.I love anything mechanical,,so the more I see spinning,,the happier I am.
Guess you really don't need a fan anymore if the cover is cut right...no fan=less drag=engine spins up faster!!

Same here, i do not ride in the rain. And i agree i does raisr the chance of something gettin in there but being positioned where it is the odds are stil in your favor.
