Ah, yes... The joy of Chinese quality control... LOL!
If you watch closely, it looks like the rim is actually turning true, but it's the tire that's wonky... You should see my back wheel! It turns true "wobble-wise" but the axle hole is about 1/8" off-center. Yup... the rim "pogos" up and down a full eighth-inch. HOWEVER... In true Chinese style, Xingyue found a TIRE that was "oval" to the same degree, AND mounted it with the "thick" side on the "thin" side of the rim.
The end result? Yup... the tread of the TIRE turns true and concentric while the WHEEL does a pogo going round and round... I do hope the rear tire lasts forever, since when it goes, I'll have to replace the wheel too, UNLESS I can find a square tire to offset the square wheel like the factory did... Gotta love it!

[replyingto=domindart]domindart[/replyingto]Tomos is a SYM scoot,,I spoke with them direct to become a dealer. But technically I'm not 100% sure,,just from what the manufacture told me.

[replyingto=domindart]domindart[/replyingto]Ive never seen one yet,,but the guy told me the quality of the Tomos is outstanding compared to a Taotao or other bottom line scoot. He said if you put them side by side,,you can really see the quality difference,, I've never had two of them together yet,,but I will someday.
Give em a shout,, I spoke with Aaron Cohen,,he was really freindly and was glad to answer all my questions,,they are good people over there.

Tomos is manufactured by SYM and assembled at their mainland China plant, along with Lance scooters and several lower priced SYM models.

I'm guessing that rear wheel shouldn't be wiggling like that? And should his front wheel be slightly not-square to his handles? Looks like his handles were straight while his wheel was turned a bit right. Darn pretty green though. ***** leo, that is most likely the funniest thing I have ever heard of. I must tell my mech that story. And my Harley friend. And my other friend. Oh gosh that's a hoot! I'm guessing my wheels/tires both are fine, since the mechs didn't say anything about needing to fix them. >'Kat

I had similar wobble in my tao tao scooter. It goes away after a time. It's because the tire is popped on there mechanically, and blown up too fast. Oldchopperguy is correct in that the rim is steady, so there's really no danger, as the tire seats over time.
