Hey guys I clocked my scoot today,,the ground was pretty level maybe a tad up hill,,from 0 to 40 MPH it did around 12 seconds,,that seems kinda slow to me,,does it sound about normal??

150's do 0-30MPH pretty fast. After 30-35MPH the variator is maxed out, and it takes longer to get to 50. I estimate I do mine (0-40) in 7-8 seconds, so yes, it's slow.

You can try lighter rollers or stiffer clutch springs like the 1k, 1.5k or 2k that engage at their rated speed above that of stock springs

After i rejet and made a custom air box for my UNI pod,,I took it out and it did 10.2 seconds 0-40 slight uphill,,same spot.Tomorrow I will have my new CDI and we will see better yet i bet!!
Hehehehe...cant wait for my P&P to get here..that will be awesome!!

That sucks the cdi failed. I have heatd of others who had the blue metal type cdi that failed. I may have got lucky, i have the blue cdi that says racing cdi on it with the rev chart on it. This one has worked great for about 2 yrs or seasons now. What cdi did you get?

[replyingto=geh3333]geh3333[/replyingto]Haha,,it did suck I was 10 miles from home and had to pick up my daughter from school in 20 minutes,,man i was pissed,,it was a blue Progress Racing CDI,,the guy is gonna give me an exchange,,I have an orange,and a black one(supposed to be not so racey)on the way,,plus my stock old faithful,,I don't go anywhere without an extra CDI anymore.
Funny thing was I was on my maiden voyage with it,,after about 25 miles is when it sputtered to the side of the road dead,,pulled the fuel line,good there,,pulled the plug,,no spark,,I was like no way bro!!!Pushed it 2 miles to a main road and sat and waited for my dad to bring me the stock cdi I left home,,needless to say my daughter sat at school for an extra hour or so.
