[replyingto=david3336]david3336[/replyingto]What are your jets at? I don't have a 150, but I know that for a 50 you need to up jet with a performance filter.

[replyingto=david3336]david3336[/replyingto]Alright, sorry, you said new filter so I assumed that meant performance filter, Have you checked your variator weights? How many miles on the scoot? The variator rollers could possibly have become sliders if there's a lot of miles. I believe the stock 150s run lean with their jet size, you may want to check what jet size you currently have and upjet a size or two if its too low.

What size rollers did you put in? You could have to heavy of weights and that will not allow your rpms to climb high enough. A stock 150 should do at least 50mph out of the crate, Some will do little over 50mph. If you bought a aftermarket carb they usually come with at least a 105-107 main jet which is good enough for a stock setup. Did you adjust your FUEL RATIO MIXTURE on the new Carb, if you did not then follow this procedure to adjust the Fuel Mixture. Well with 11 gram rollers that sucker should be cranking rpms out in the 7500+ range. Do you have a tach on it so you can see what rpms it is pulling?
The Fuel Ratio Mixture did you adjust it to get the HIGHEST IDLE after it was warm? Alleyoop

With 12 gram sliders that is like having 11 gram rollers, that is why I always say if you find the ROLLER weights your scoot runs the best and your going to put in SLIDERS always get 1 gram heavier Sliders. The Sliders will push the Variator out just a little more and only change your rpms by 200-350 from compared to the ROLLERS changing your roms by 500-600.
Well if the plug was on the black side your running rich so Turn the Fuel Ratio Screw CLOCKWISE 1/4 of a turn at a time and try it after 1/4 turn.
As for your other scoot it could be it has more compression and therefore more power. So you can also check out your compression on the checkmate scoot.
You can also MARK your variator and see how high the belt is climbing up the variator. That will tell you right away your rpms are low or the weights are wrong or you have a very worn belt. Alleyoop

with the cover off the belt seems to climb all the way to the top on the stand but have not checked riding. the belt looks to be in great shape and the scoot only has like 1800 miles on it. i tried the a/f screw and didnt see any change in top end speed where it is now was the best setting so far just seemed to be lil rich thats why i drilled holes in air box to lean out insted of changing a/f screw it idles good and responds good where it is set now and low and mids are great just missing that top end speed
