Yay. I finally rose my credit score enough to qualify for a REAL credit card! Not just store credit at Newegg.com or Amazon.com. First things first; I need some scooter parts! So I'm placing another order, a lot sooner than I expected to after the last splurge. I keep hearing horrible things about scrappydogscooters, but the prices and good reviews outweigh all the bad things I'm hearing; like people getting the wrong part vs getting the right part and excellent quality with fast shipping and low prices. So, right now my front brake caliper is busted up from grinding against the metal behind the brake pad so I plan on getting some new calipers; scrappy sells them cheap for $30: HB/B08 dual pot brake caliper pick your side: front brake Next; when installing my bbk I noticed that my air filter has been busted this whole time. There was a huge crack where the rubber meets the carburetor and the thing was just falling apart. On top of that my old spark plug was completely ghost white. I never want this to happen again, so I'm getting the following: 38mm air filter choose your kit: 38AF w/ # jet And finally... My mirrors are crap; one of them is broken and neither one of them properly views behind me. They're cheap pieces of junk. My calipers say 7.6mm so I assume they're 8mm. Which mirrors would you recommend? Right now the generics are in my cart: 8mm mirror set generic black pick your thread: regular Thanks for reading!

You want to know what you should do....cut it up and never get another credit card your going down a long hard road get off of that road now!!!! I don't know about all that, what I do know is that I get 0 APR for 14 months and my brake calipers are totally fried. Now, I can afford this stuff, but not until my next paycheck so I'd rather get it ASAP and then pay off the credit card. That's my plan. I don't like being in debt, but I also don't like screeching brakes at 40mph straight into an obstacle, also dying. I don't like dying. That's why I want my bike to perform as well as possible, while at the same time I want it to not be a safety hazard. Right now I can't see behind me without turning my head all the way around, and I can't stop unless I plan ahead that I'm going to stop. My filter is broken and is held together with tape right now. My mirror is busted. And my brake caliper is fried. Also, I might be getting too much air so I might as well get a jet. I don't even watch TV, my only hobbies are computers, music, glassblowing, and scootering. And I depend on that scooter for life, so I'm investing all I have into making it work as best as possible. ;D ~This addiction. Can't seem to live without you. This addiction, No going clean. This addiction, Go through withdrawal without you. Sick with this addiction in me.~

I guess I have no good reason to up the battery since my crappy one still starts my scooter... I just tested it a few times in a row. I'll take that off the list and save $45. :/

Before you go too far, and dig yourself a huge hole, slow down and think hard. It sounds to me like you are rebuilding your scooter from a "parts bike" maybe you should consider getting a new scooter. Ride that one and save money. Sometimes you can actually throw more money into something than it would cost you to get a brand new one.

It sounds to me like you are rebuilding your scooter from a "parts bike" maybe you should consider getting a new scooter. Ride that one and save money. Sometimes you can actually throw more money into something than it would cost you to get a brand new one. I'm not going all out, I think there's just three things total in my cart... Brakes, air filter, and mirrors. The things I WANT are... New variator, new clutch, new clutch bell, new torque spring, new rims, expensive mirrors, new dash, new helmet, new gloves, new visor, new motorcycle boots, a motorcycle jacket, new carburetor, new performance head, new fancy kick stand, new cooling fan, new performance stator, and the list goes on. But I've decided that the parts I NEED are calipers, mirrors, and a new air filter. Plus the jet is only like $4. I came here to ask you guys' opinions as to what parts I should be getting and based on my discretion I would add them to that list of "WANT" or "NEED". Like everybody, I want way more than what I have the capacity to ever obtain. But right now I got a bit of spending money which I'm strategically allocating from future predetermined resources through the convenience of a credit card with 0APR. So what do you think? Are those brake calipers high enough in quality that I won't chance dying every time I leave the house?

My scooter only has 2,350 and I've only driven it 1k of those miles

Don't get upset, But what you are doing is spending money you DO NOT HAVE. Credit companies love that.It is never a good practice to get used to. Look at what's happening in this country lately... Housing crisis etc. I always wait and use my debit card for purchases.

Housing crisis etc. I always wait and use my debit card for purchases. I'm not upset in the least Just trying to convey my points. I have the money, just in the future. I took a ride the other day and a car infront of me slammed on their brakes and did a dead stop in the middle of the road. Despite not being close to them I slammed on my brakes and they screeched until I was about three inches from their bumper. That's all I'm sayin'. And for every dollar owned, 1.1 dollar is owed back; thus this nation is in a perpetual ceaseless debt crisis that will never end as long as the monetary economic system is utilized on a global scale. But I won't get into the resource based economy here. Jacque Fresco is a genius though IF I'm upset I might use one of the following: But right now I'm not upset and I apologize for coming across as such.

If u have a steady paycheck buy a part per check and use your debit car and don't forget to check ebay I forgot about ebay, I'll check there too. Thank you, and you all have some valid points concerning the ethical use of credit. However, I assure you that my financial situation consists of strategically allocated communal family resources and this credit card is going to be used whether I like it or not. In this particular scenario it is a necessary evil to use my credit card, just this once, to buy scooter parts. This is not some "And so it begins" moment where I start splurging on parts and max out my $2k limit. This is a minor order. No worries, anyone. No worries.
