Saw the Great Wall with Mat Damon. It was 3D and We paid extra for action seats that vibrate aND lean with the film. At least the seats wake you when something happens. I'd wait for dvd on this one.

I've been watching the Marvel Cinemaverse in order. And I'm wondering why I didn't see Cap Am in the theatre. Both are darn good movies, period. Never mind hero movies. Gearing up for Avengers 2 and Guardians next.
Only thing is, seems there's details missing or skipped between movies? Like at the end of Thor 1 he smashed the rainbow branch, severing Asgard's link to Earth. But there he is in Avengers. And skipping all over the realms, with his girlfriend (and with the bridge very obviously intact again). Does anyone know if they put anything like a featurette on the blu-ray versions, which folks like me don't get to see since not everyone has blu-ray?

Saw The Shack. I was very bored but my wife liked it. I thought it was very slow and very depressing. I slept for a half hour or so during the film. Perhaps I'm just too much of a Philistine to appreciate this movie.

Next movie I see will probably be Guardians of the Galaxy, Volume 2. Since we no longer require safety inspection decals in TX, I had to cover that space with something.

I checked out Gods of Egypt. Fun movie. Nothing deep, nothing really new, just lots of fun. Worth spending a couple hours on.

However, can't say the same of Green Hornet. Sigh. So much potential there, just blown. At least they respected the original tv series rather than ignored or rewrote it.

"At least they respected the original tv series rather than ignored or rewrote it." Not so with the new Wonder Woman movie that I saw on Saturday. I don't remember seeing Lynda Carter wield a broad sword. It was a good movie with a creative story, but the TV series was thrown out the window at times.

'bender, I read that the only reason the WW tv series made it at all was because Lynda Carter played it so earnestly. Otherwise it would've come off hammy or campy and flopped. It's currently playing on Me-TV and I can see their point now.

You are giving Lynda Carter a little too much credit, 'Kat. A lot of gals watched Wonder Woman on TV because of Lyle Wagoner. -When I lived in the Phoenix area, I surveyed the road in front of Lynda Carter's high school.

I saw Hidden Figures. It was a fact based story that was well told. Even with the advent of main frame computers, the pressure on the NASA mathematicians was enormous.

Its a sad day for monster movie fans. Haruo Nakajima, the first to wear the Godzilla suit in a motion picture, has died at years old. Nakajima brought the big lizard to life from 1954 to 1972. He showed his versatility by playing the part of Mothra in 1961. If I were president, I would order flags flown at half mast tomorrow. Rest well, Mr. Nakajima.

What a great job on your resume--"the original Godzilla". Computers just never made the giant lizard look as good as Mr Nakajima did.

I saw Thor- Ragnorok. It's a very entertaining movie with a surprising story line and fun characters. If you haven't seen it, what in the Nine Realms are you waiting for?
