Saw "HardcoRe Henry". Don't see it unless you are a fan of violent combat games. The film is framed as if you are the video game player. I wanted my money back. No scooters or station wagons either.

It's just tiring to watch a feature length movie from the perspective of a video game player. It's like the movie was filmed with a body camera.

Funny thing, Besides Star Wars, Hardcore Henry is on my list of "must see in a theater" movies. Sort of a Blair Witch 1st person view that may NOT be for everyone.... The original Youtube video was awesome!!!! to bad the song was not as good

"Hardcore Henry is on my list of "must see in a theater" movies." My son loved the movie and has seen it twice. If I were directing the movie, I would have shown the chase scenes from a wider lens. The narrow view was fine for the opening wake up scene and some of the fight scenes.

I saw the latest "Jungle Book" movie. Story was a bit different from the cartoon version in the 1960s. Good movie but its not a musical, so I must admit that I missed the songs from the cartoon version. Many great voices like Bill Murray, Ben Kingsly and Christopher Walken.

Saw "Civil War" on 3D, not bad if you like action movies.

Saw "Nice Guys"; a 1970s version of a private investigator movie with Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe. -I enjoyed most of the movie, but I was repulsed by one scene (I am an old baby boomer). -Ryan Gosling has great comedic talent. I was impressed by his performance. -Definitely worth a download or rental. Not a bad movie to see at the theater too.

"Saw "Civil War" on 3D, not bad if you like action movies." Both my sons liked civil war. The issue of subjugation to the United Nations is very relevant to our current foreign policy situation. I have not seen the movie, myself.

Saw "Niagra" (1953) with Marilyn Monroe and Joseph Cotten. I was thoroughly amused by watching the policemen kick-start their huge Harleys.

Saw Zootopia. I seem to be on a streak of seeing kids' movies.

Saw "Free State of Jones". I was very interested in seeing this one because my in-laws live in Jones County, MS, where the movie was set. Unless you are a civil war buff, you can wait for download or rental. The soldiers injuries were portrayed very graphically, so look away if you have a weak stomach.

I just read our paper's review of Free State. They said it was very good in drama and action and all that stuff, very weak in characters besides the main one. The rest are pretty much cutouts.

I think the Free State writers were emphasizing historical accuracy over character development. Just my impression. -This is also the type of movie where no sequel is planned, so its not so important to create a lot of memorable characters. -I heard that Matthew Mc spent a few years researching these events before script writing began. I have a history degree and I had never been taught about these events or run across an article about it during my research. -The theme of this movie, IMHO, is that we cannot paint all Southerners or Northerners with the same broad brush. There were people on both sides that vehemently opposed the war.
