Hello every one, I am having problems with my 2006 linhai superstrada 300 bogging down. I have been online trying to find the problem.. This is what I have replaced thus far 1. I replaced the fuel filter 2. Cleaned the carburetor 3. Changed my spark plug 4. Cleaned the air filter 5. Made sure all my hoses were tight. 6. Adjusted the fuel mixture screw according to standard.
Since I have done all of this here is what happening now... when I pace the bike on the kick stand and run the engine to wot.. at the end it will bog down then when I try to crank it back up it wont start as if its out of gas. I will do the same also if i was riding but it will bog down then coast.
It has about 5000 miles on it. As I have been reading forums someone said that it might be the fuel pump or also the valves that has never been adjusted since I had it. Any help will be appreciated.... either I'm bout to take it to the shop... but I'm afraid they might get me....

Start with valve adjustment also look at the plug after a bogging episode is it wet or dry?

Valve adjust a must. Definitely double check lines, trimming off flared ends, and tightening the clamps. Need compression and vac to get fuel. Give it a shot.

That is fine, Adjust your valves I am sure the EXHASUT valve it not sealing. A good indication is if you let it cool down and it will then start up. Another indication is when coming to stops the RPMS drop and or dies and or wants to die and you have to keep on giving some throttle. Alleyoop

Are we talking about the muffler end of it or where it connects to header pipe connects to the motor? If you have a hole by the muffler USE JB WELD and let it dry overnight. Alleyoop

Your fuel pump may be getting weak also. At wide open throttle your vacumn from the engine drops drastically and the pump just may not be putting out enough gas to keep the carb bowl full, thus u basically run out of gas. I eliminated all fuel del problems with my linhai 257 by convert it to elec fuel pump. Have not had any problems for several years. Also like Alley said, with 5000 miles and never had valve adj, its time. I would adjust the valves 1st and if that does not take care of problem, then I would try fuel pump next. Barnie
