Hey all! i am new to the scooter world and i was thinking of getting one very soon. i have been looking on craigslist and found a Malaguti 2004 Ciak 150cc.. for 600$ and i have done quite the bit or research on this for a few days. It has 3000 miles. So my question is is this a good price? Does anyone know about these? thanks in advance and im excited to get into the scooter life!

I would check for parts availability that is a European scoot. Alleyoop

Oh, and DX Alley's one of our smart ones, so if he suggests something it's good to listen up. I have a Piaggio myself. Is something goes wrong with a part, I HAVE to go to Reno's Yamaha as they're the only licensed Piggy dealer in the metro. >'Kat

I thought I was getting a steal when I first got one of the rarest scooter ever; the Honda Zook... Now that I have it there's nothing I can do with it because there are no parts available anywhere.
Careful and good luck!

Hi and welcome. Check real close for parts, if I recall Malaguti is OUT OF BUSINESS. (I remember reading where Joel from MRP try to save it but to no avail.)

can't go wrong w honda Just a few posts ago I talked about how SOL I am with my Honda Zook because there's no parts availability... Ahem... Anyways, congratulations on your new scoot! You can go wrong with Honda, but only if you get a Honda Zook.

Many Honda scoots from the 1980s (like the Helix) are still on the road and very popular. I expect the PCXs to be desirable for decades too.
