Shouldn't my belt ride higher in my rear pulley? I fixed it up for you: all you need to do is ADD

What size belt is on there? Is that a short case or long case motor? The belt looks a little short to me the belt is to far down on the clutch pulley. Alleyoop

Does it have 16" wheels? If so a longer belt is needed. But I cannot believe that is a 842 and fitting like that, the belt is like 1/2 inch down in the Clutch pulley, 1/8 or so down is good??? Alleyoop

Alleyoop Al I was thinking the same thing about 16" wheels they take a 902 belt . I think he has the 115mm variator , that would knock 16" wheels out . I saw this post when it first was put up but it was locked . the belt looks short , I would check to see if the pulleys are opening up all the way . I would also measure the thickness of the belt . well I would get a longer belt no questions asked. I mean it is already down on the Clutch pulley and he has what it looks like 1/2 or 3/8 of an inch on the Variator that the belt is not climbing to. If you can get the 856 I would try that belt. I mean you never know if they put in the longer motor that goes on the 16" wheel scoots. Since you have 13" wheels on that puppy how much run is there from the front of the tire to the frame. Alleyoop

I just hate to keep buying belts I have already destroyed 2 cheap 842s but when I put my old 835 on I can run 72mph down hill and only be turning 8000 rpm. I have 10 gram rollers. And where could I find a 856 belt.

You are running to light of weights you should be running around 12 gram weights to have the belt climb up the variator AND at lower rpms. They way you are talking you are winding that thing past its Red Line all the time.
The red line on the 150 is 8K they make their max hp at 7500 rpms. Alleyoop

Cheap belts are never the correct size, you can buy three and they will all be different lengths buy a good belt and it will last four times longer than the cheap belt, you lose more money buying a cheap belt

I believe its just the cheap belt . My 835 ran about the same distance up the clutch pulley. Looks like your about a shy half inch from the top of the variator. Which also seems to be the same as a true 835. As long as your clutch is opening properly and have a true 842 , it will run higher up variator at high rpms and the clutch pulley at low rpms.
