I finally got the video to work!!! Now back to the original question...does this look normal for a 4 stroke?

Looks good to me my spark is so weak you can not see it and you can just barely feel a shock.

bump (jeff beat me to it)... i'm curious and clueless too.  is that a new plug? definitely firing way too slow. (or so i thought until jeff chimed in) i don't know enough to give any solid advice but if that is a new plug something else is causing the slow firing. |

It's a brand new NGK DR8EA. I was thinking it wasn't right but I don't have anything to compare it against. I bought a new CDI, ignition coil, and plug wire to see if that helps but I'd really like to see how someone elses 4 stroke scoot fires.
Anyway, if anyone is so inclined, I found that the easiest way to post a video on this site is to take the video with your phone and post it to youtube. Don't use the link youtube offers at the time you post it though as it doesn't quite work right for some reason. Instead, visit (view) your video on youtube and copy the link from the location bar at the top of your browser and paste that in between the youtube tags you get when you click the youtube tags button here on the boards.

Thanks alleyoop, that clears it up a lot. Hopefully the new CDI, ignition coil, and spark plug wire I ordered will resolve this issue.

Yes, it is most likely the CDI that is bad and when you get the parts put in ONE at a time and find out for sure WHICH one was the CULPRIT  Alleyoop |

Yep seems to be fireing randomly. Could also be a weak ignition pickup or possibly the battery being too low to charge up the coil. The engine was turning a bit slow for one with the spark plug removed.
