Well, Here I am again griping about having to do another valve adjustment almost every oil change. "BUT" The good news is the Michilin Pilot sport tire I put on the rear of this JCL 250 to replace that *** 2000 mile wonder that the factory installed has already doubled the mileage (documented) that I got out of said *** stock tire. And it looks like its only half life at most and still has plenty of tread left. And it only cost me $61 TMD. Only about $20 or less more than a cheap one. As big a pain as these things are to install a rear tire on I'll pay that $20 extra any day man. So I can go that much further before screwing with the back tire again. And getting more than twice the mileage value. Heck, this is a no brainer. ;D

I've never done any valve adjustment on any of my scoots. and I'm at 4500km on my ATM50, at 2,2k Mi on the BMS (and 600mi on the EVO150).

4950cycle, If I may ask, why are you doing a valve adjustment every oil change

Some Chinese engines come with soft valve seats that the valves constantly sink into to while others have valve seats that were not pressed completly into the head and take a year to settle. The lash tightens and you start getting hot valves and starting issues. If you don't adjust them in time you end up with a burnt valve so you end up having to adjust them every 500 to 1,000 miles until they stop sinking or fail altogether. My Lance Vintage has the soft valve seats and required you to open up the valve gaps every month or so. I put close to 1,000 miles a month on my bike.

I was about to ask the same question. My Kymco Super 8 has over 4,200 miles on it and it still doesn't need a valve adjustment. I have checked numerous times and it is always dead on.
