Low to mid range acceleration seems diminished somewhat. Its got 800 miles on it and Ive run non ethenol since day one. Have not messed with anything lately except added a cap or two of seafoam to gas the other day and coincidentally about the same time I noticed it. I drained the gas filled with fresh still notice it a bit. Changed the plug ti NGK when new so that cant be it. Only 800 miles seems kinda odd.
Runs great when its going and top speed is still the same. One other item seems that it takes a little longer to "warm" up in the am. When i come to a stop and then take off its a bit slow going but then seems fine after awhile.
Valves and af mixture set about a month ago and has been fine until I noticed the slower accelleration.

Not sure on what it might be but I do know that seafoam hurts performance, even on performance quads, but it does clean the carb out!

Yeah, seafoam cleans, it's not a real good combusting substance. Just wait 2 fueltanks, so most of it gets out of the tank. Your performance should be up again!

I would check my valves again too since its been a month...
Also check your idle speed when warm it may be a bit low...

Also a month ago it could have been cooler, heat slows motors up due to the density of the air. And when temps go up you have to lean the mixture out a little. Alleyoop

Ahh...I checked the af setting and sure enough slight changes increased idle so it did need some tweaking for the degree temps. Im sure the seafoam didnt help either.

Doesnt the scooter run the same when is warm regardless if its 50 or 80 out without adjusting the af?

No it does not. Like alleyoop says, cold air has more O2 molecules entering the cylinder chamber, because the air is somewhat compressed. It's all somewhat relative, as when the air is cold, also the fuel is cold, and takes less space, thus more fuel enters the chamber too.
Also, if you're living in O2 rich environments it's different from cities with lots of smog, or damp/mist/fog in the air. And then there is High pressure, low pressure. In a high pressure (usually sunshine) more fuel/air mixture enters the cylinder, than in a low pressure (usually rain). But those differences are so minor they actually make very little performance differences. you probably won't even notice.

You plug chop and adjust your fuel mixture screw until your plug is wonderful tan creamy color. Actually took a couple of days. Basically you lean it out but you have to be careful too lean is evil. The Vespa actually has plugs in the air box that are removed for the summer.

Went out just now (night) and it was cooler. Ran fine

The creamy color is also deceptive. It's a mix between carbon (black) and white (from running lean). You could get a creamy color from running lean with a rich pilot, or reverse.

This can also be impacted by the valves getting out of adjustment as the draw and resultant intake manifold vaccume will change as the valves tighten or loosen past their specified lash settings.
