I just got a 150 wanted to know if valve adj is same as on the 50cc. and what bbk should i do to get some real power but not over do it dont want it to run hot, i ride alot. I have built alot of 50cc motors but never messed with the 150cc much any help would be great.

What motor is in there? GY6 157QMJ or some other motor?
To get some real power the case will have to be bored out to fit a bigger jug. They have BBKs that will fit without boring the case but the number of CCS and POWER you will gain is not worth the trouble and cost.
My motor is a 157QMJ(149.6 ccs) had it bored out and had a 62mm BBK and a 60mm Stroker Crank slapped in(182ccs). Alleyoop Here is my setup:

how large can i go without boring the case. i might just sell it and buy something bigger. im only seeing 60mph out of it stock. is the 150 valve adj 003 004 like the 50cc or differant. can i use a yellow center clutch sping out of a 50cc clutch or are they bigger on the 150. can i get orange cdi and coil for the 150 or are the cdi same the 50. see i have alot of parts from 50cc cause i work on them alot just never messed with the 150 much so i thought id ask and save some time.

If you have the 1p57qmj, there is not much performance wise for that motor to work with. All you can do is mod the other parts, CVT, Free Flow exhaust, Free flow Filter up jet etc.... To get anything out of a CDI you have to get one that has advanced timing that will give you a little bottom end power. If your looking for top end on that scoot put in taller tranny gears. As far as the springs and what not it all depends on the Size of the Clutch you have on there. Also what size Variator is on there it may already have a 250 CVT setup if it has the 16" wheels on that scoot. Alleyoop

aint opened up the cvt so not sure but it has 13 inch wheels. so the 59mm bbk and head and a 9 cam scrappy sales wont fit this motor.

The 59mm bbk is either a 58.5 or a 58.8 they round everything up. So what are you going to get 5 more CCS for all the work and cost and it will not do very much you may not even notice the difference. Your best bet is to work with the tranny and CVT IF your looking for more top end. Alleyoop

thats kinda what i thought but wanted to ask. yea i think im gonna start in the cvt and see what happens. i realy would like to see alil more take off and lil better hill climbing. i thought about the a9 cam cause it does good on the 50cc seems to make them pull harder all the way to top speed maybe a lil up jet and muffler mod. yellow center spring in clutch thats kinda my thoughts

Mrpalmetto, HAHAHA, thanks I do not know what other mods I can add. It does move out smartly I can tell you that, no problem keeping up with traffic and from a stop light I am right behind the guy in front of me Cars do not have to go around me cause I am to slow. That is what I wanted cause most of the streets I ride on are 45mph and you know we are doing at least 55mph. Sometimes me and my brother in law go to the RC flying field which is 10 miles away and we have to take route 83 by my house which is 55mph and we are cranking 60-65 just keeping up with the traffic Alleyoop

oh and u never told me the valve adjustment clearance I adjust both of mine to .004 inchs, you can go .004 Top Intake and .004-005 on the Bottom Exhaust Valve. I have a quality BBK head on mine and I adjusted them at 1000 miles and the BBK know has 5000 miles on it and Valves are still holding the gap good. Alleyoop
