After you remove the valve walk on the tire or bang it with a heavy mallet to break the bead

If you take the muffler off, you should use a new crush manifold gasket. If you don't and it leaks, you could burn your exhaust valve.

Thanks woodman .Two questions however .Which side is swing arm side ? Left or right ? DO both shocks need to be free? On this scoot it looks like I will have to remove the muffler and the bracket that holds the muffler . There does not seem to be anything else in the way after I would remove the axle nut .From what I see ,there is the brake drum on the right side of wheel and nothing else that I can see that would be in the way. As I have never taken one of these wheels off before ,it really looks like a removal of a car wheel. It looks like it can be removed after the muffler is off ,but I am sure it is more complicated then that. I will follow your instructions ,but if you would answer my two questions it sure would help. Yes, both shocks need to be unbolted. The Swingarm is on the right-side, and I totally forgot to mention about removing the muffler (doh!) But yes, it needs to be done in-order to free the rear wheel

Unbolt the muffler from the header donot unbolt the header from the head. Next remove the shock from the swingarm next remove the swingarm with the muffler still attached then remove the wheel. Much less work
