howdy, here's my "farmer style" answer to changing jackets for different weather and not having anywhere to keep the garage door opener where i can reach it. all winter it was in one jacket pocket but the lighter jackets don't have pockets so----
i took the garage door opener and put it in a freezer bag for rain protection and bound that with an old cloth watch band. then i got some velcro dots and put them on the freezer bag so i can velcro it to the speedometer housing near the windshield. it works great and i'm sure the idea can be used by more civilized people than me who can make it look a whole lot better.
lotsa miles and smiles to ya ken

I love using velcro lol
As you know I use it to hold my GPS and my MP3 player
I tried today to use it to hold a camcorder. Too shakey so that didnt work
But my GPS and my MP3 player thing works great

Some have bought a spare remote, mounted it inside the front fairing and wired it to the momentary passing light switch so all they do is flash the passing lights to activate the garage door opener.
