I got 3,200 miles on my scooter and the back tire has very little tread in the middle where it ride (nearing bald ) I got an Avon 130-60-13 tire coming in. I like the tread, 93mph speed rated and price $48 on ebay. www.ebay.com/itm/330904173842?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649I have a 6 inch C clamp is there any regular tools I can use to replace my rear tire? I was just wondering if I could do it without tire irons. I'm sure its probably worth it and easier with tire irons. Front tire has a good tread on there so I'll let it be. Also replaced tubeless tire stems.

No set mileage as so many variables like your weight , how fast you drive condition of the road surfaces ETC . Note the Avon tire is a softer compound and will wear out fast from what I read . The stock tires are often hard which means they dp no grip or ride as but but last a while . I would have matching tires on my scooter to be safe .

On my taoTao ATM50 I have ~3000 miles on (almost 4000km) and I think I'm half way through the back tire; meaning, i probably can do another 3k miles on it without failing.

Back tires will wear out before the front more so if you have a passenger . I replaced my rear around 8,000 and again with a front tire too at 12,000 along with a new Bando belt . I still had tread to go but I like to keep my tires with meat on them rather than ride a slick or maypop tire . My Magnum with 4,200 or so miles has the stock tires with the rear good for at least 3,000 miles as the front has not as much wear . I will be going with Pirelli SL26 when its time as my dealer already ordered them for me . I suggest getting your tires balanced as it was beyond night and day different with the bounce and shimy gone when I was going highway speeds . My Magnum has the street knobby style of tire that has a knobby bounce like old school minibikes . I kind of like it but I am sure the Pirellis will be much more of a smoother ride as they are also rated for up to MPH beyond what it can do . When I had streetbikes like a Suzuki GS550 I found Dunlops were the best tires IMO . Michelin makes great car tires but oddly I only have bought a single Michelin tire on my Tomos Bullet , a pedal moped and darned if it did not blow out within minutes and was not overinflated . The cords burst . Many have posted they like their Michelins so mine must have been a fluke as Michelin has several plants and their corporate office in my town and I know for a fact they xray every tire during the inspections before allowing it to go out . I have Shinkos on my Echarm and I am happy with them as the ChengShins were junk . I had them balanced around 600 miles as even though they are 16s which are more stable than my old scoot with 10s and are more motorcycle feel they have a V shape rather than U so only a small part of the tread actually makes contact . The CS tires also had a zig zag pattern in the middle and would have a wobble effect when going over uneven surfaces like a patch . The Shinkos have a straight line in the center and WOW was a major improvement in handling and ride comfort . My Magnum with 130/60/13s is so stable even in a gale that I can ride with no hands even in a turn with no stress . I do prefer the feel and ride of the 13s as to me a true scooter experience is on " doughnuts " or fat tires . The Echarms 16 is 100m F and 110mm rear and not the proportion of width to height (80 ) as that of the 13s I have not purchased from here www.motorcycletire.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc? but they have it simple to find tires by size and have a good selection . Many riders also like Kenda brand of tires , but since I have not owned any I can not comment ether way

I guess that explains why my cheaper stock tires have lasted so long. Here's the front one that I plan to replace soon--it's going on 36,108km a.k.a 22,437 miles (I replaced the rear tire quite awhile back):

The stock back tire on my T3 was replaced at 2800mi or so due to deformation.

My rear tire was about to blow at 3500km, but that was due to a rather heafty oil leak that was dumping pretty much directly on the tire. My front tire is still almost perfect at just past 5000km, usually with a passenger and store trips with a full cart of food/drinks / and passenger lol I take sharp, fast turns and am surprised about the lack of wear.

I think my stock tires are Kei Rin or some crap like that, I'm sure its widely mass produced for china scooters. I'll have to look again Avon, all I think is its a make up company. I drive past an Avon seller with a boat that says "I love Avon". The boat is just in their yard. Just a side note Avon tires got to be better than the china stock. My second choice would have been the shinkos for the price being lower. I searched around on that motorcycle shop first then searched for the Avon tires to find better deals and the ebay was the best. That site would have cost me at least $70 with shipping. I was surprised to find it for $48 free shipping on ebay. But I hear more bad than good from ebay. Kenda tires, I know we had a set of brand new kenda golf cart tires 10" and they didn't last long last summer. They wore down quick, of course we ride our golf carts at least 12 miles a day on gravel, road, and grass. With most of it being hot road in summer isn't too surprising the kenda tires wore out quick. At end of summer had bald tires down to the fibers in places. Golf Pro tires on work well so far, but its been 75 degrees at most, so will have to find out. My scooter will never go mph but I judged it as some measure of quality.

Avon is a good brand as I too first thought " the makeup company ?" but a few guys at CycleGear swear by them . I would get a matching tire for the front

My stock tires do leak a tiny bit of air, so I need to pump em up every 2 weeks or so...

I have 4k km's on my scoot, and the front tire still has the rubber tips on them; could be sold as new. +1 on the front tire having less wear. Another good reason to apply front braking as much as possible; if not, the front tire will outlive the scooter.
I never had the tire pop off. I guess it's possible when the pressure is low. I tried tightening the valve stems, but with no success.

Sava MC28 Diamonds 120/70-15 up front last about 12,000 miles and the Prelli MT66 Route66 130/ -15 last about 10,000 miles. I got the softer tires that have better grip instead of the longer wearing touring tires because I don't like how the harder tires react when the road is damp. My bike takes tire that are available in both Scooter and Metric Cruiser type so I get the Metric Cruiser tires for the longer wear and better highway manners.
