About two years ago my Girl Friend was wanting to purchase something big, or do something different. Started looking at trikes, but the ones we liked and saw at the time were a bit pricey. So we went to a local motorcycle shop and saw some scooters. She fell in love and wanted to get one. I was a bit leery, for I have had no motorcycle experience at all, where she has. So we purchased hers off a guy on CL, a 2009 Kymco People 150 also got a Corazzo jacket and 2 helmets, and the jacket fits me perfectly lol. Anyway She loved the scooter, and let me ride it, and I thought it was pretty fun. She wanted me to get a scooter too, so we could ride together. So I did some research, checked out various forums, and my budget and I opted to order one online, the Roketa MC 74 150. She and I spent the day putting it together, and doing a PDI....I was hooked from the first ride. It was awesome. We now ride together whenever we can. I take mine to work most days weather permitting, and ride everywhere else. We have an absolute blast! It's great to ride together, and share it all!

Missed the freedom that only 2 wheels can provide on OR off the road. The 50cc's feel much safer w/ speed restriction especially when age & disability are a significant factor. If texting & driving was born when I owned a couple of mid-sized motorcycles, I'd be nothing more than a memory today!

I don't know, I just feel more comfortable on two wheels than I do in a car or truck, I have noting against 4 wheeled vehicles they have their uses, just prefer the two wheeled ones...

I ride for both but a lot of joyriding . I started on a Honda urban express 50 back when I was 15 (1983) then a 72 Honda 750 , 78 Honda 750 , 76 I think it was Honda 750A ...automatic, many year Honda 350s and 360s , did have a Harley lol ....175 armatchi lol that I restored ....many other Hondas and a Yamaha xs650 special ...oh loved that one the most . Gave it away a couple years befor moving here and now turned full circle and have a 50cc scooter again lol. No other feeling like being on two wheels with the sun beaming down on you and the breeze in your face .

Larry I have spent most of my commuting life on 2 wheels and I feel the same way. It just seems safer on a bike. It's a lot easier to avoid sticky situations in traffic on a light, small, nimble, machine...
