Not too long ago I installed a new manifold intake, which they supplied a clamp also. I have noticed that this clamp is worthless it keep coming loose on me. Can anyone tell me where I can get some good clamps that don't work themselves loose Attachments:

Just take your clamp to an auto parts store and get a conventional worm drive hose clamp. You will want to take your old one with you to assure you get the correct size.

If you can bolt down the carb at the AIR FILTER side the carb will not bounce around and cause problems like that and or CRACKED INTAKE MANIFOLD. Here is my hold down of the back of the carb, it does not move at all. Alleyoop

No slug, The engine moves around a lot and vibrates quite a bit. If your bracket is to the frame and holding the carb steady something will crack or break. It will either be the manifold or the flex connection between the carb and the manifold. The bracket should be from carb to engine so they move together, just not to something that does not move in unison with the engine.

Hi Alleyoop, Where did you get the hardware for that job? I know on the side of the carb there is a piece of metal with a hole through it for a bolt, I'll have to look and see if there is a place it bolts up to.
