I have a 2008 vog 260 scooter. Paid 640 for it. But needs some work. Right now here's a list of faults. Won't start ( believe the starter relay went bad) when I turn it on the lights come on but when I hit the the brakes...no tail lights. Bulbs are good. Blinker, head and tail light work tho. Also I believe the switch on the right switch assembly is for parking lights but no matter where the switch is set, nothing happens. No lights turn on or off. Nada. And last. When running. It works and runs fine for about 30 min but after that. When I let off throttle and brake. The engine dies. Any help to any of these above problems would be great. Thanks

How do you get it started Does it have a kickstarter?
Get a 12V Light tester and squeeze the brake handle and tape it and then test the Green and yellow wire going into the Solenoid and if the test light lights it is getting juice. If not test the wires at the brake switch and see if the switch is getting juice.
The dieing out, when was the last time you adjusted the valves, after 30 minutes the motor is pretty hot and the exhaust valve may be staying a little open and loosing compression. Then it will not start or be hard to start until it cools off. When they loose compression they will not hold low rpms and die. Alleyoopl

I had both brake switches go bad on the same day and was lucky I could kick start my 150cc scoot. On my Znen, one switch was bad and the second I suspected of going bad sooner rather than later. The same two DIFFERENT switches as sold by scrappy didn't last at all, and are way too expensive. I bought a couple waterproof mini switches and bent a little plate to mount them onto the Znen, and will do the Xingyue when they start to act up again. Good for like 2amps (I think) and waterproof and less than $3 each from Grainger. www.grainger.com/Grainger/OMRON-SubMiniature-Sealed-Snap-Switch-2KRW6?Pid=searchIf not that one, then it was one without leads, like this www.grainger.com/Grainger/OMRON-SubMiniature-Sealed-Snap-Switch-2KRX9?Pid=searchAnd looking at the price, maybe I should stop and see if I can get a dozen or two.
