On the Reverse Trikes many complain about front end shimmy at speeds. Check the front Hubs mountings to the Frame. Some have experienced Broken Welds also a lot of Play in the Sleeve and bolt. Alleyoop

[replyingto=alleyoop]alleyoop[/replyingto]Mine has reverse but when I bought it the reverse handle was broken so I just disconnected the cable. But I still notice while driving a somewhat uneven surface that there is some "shaken goin on" in the front. I thought it may be tire pressure, which it says 33 psi on the front (pst150-11) but that's not it. I will take your advice and check tightness of bolts and frame welds which I have noticed are spotty at best.

So how do you repair the sleeve and bolt?

Unless your a welder and a machinist you do not have much of a chance except maybe fine a little bigger bolt to take the play out. One guy on SCOOTERDOC forum has a Trike but his a regular Trike with the wheels on the back. His trike has independent suspension and has similar mounts and he took them to a machinist to rebuild them and actually put in bearing on each end of the sleeve with a grease nipples on them. They are just made poorly and not well designed. Alleyoop

I still haven't gotten much riding time on maybe 10 mi on d50tka lots of steering issues. I have already upgraded all ball joints and have the shimmy at higher speeds so thanx for the tip.
My real problem is there is a lot of slop in the double joint for the steering column. Has other people had this issue ? Is there a simple way to fix it? Or maybe a better heavier part I could get somewhere. Any help is appreciated this thing has been mostly paper weight as it is scary to ride with the slop in the column
