I am feeling very grateful right now for my little life....... people are in the hospital now and wont use their legs ever again..... very tragic thing out of the blue, I'm glad I wasn't there, could happen to any of us.

I feel bad for those who lost limbs and will be disfigured. These are battlefield injuries, gruesome and horrific. When we think terrorism we think of people dying, and those left behind. But what of those who don't die and are scarred for life? Quite literally. I would not blame if some wish they had not lived to see another day. Hard as that may be to fathom....as a rider and active person I personally don't know if I would have the resolve to stand and say "its ok i will endure without my legs!" Life is sometimes much worse then that. This may be the case for some and all I could have for them is understanding and compassion for their plight.
I saw that pic of a young man in a wheel chair with both feet blown off and his flesh ripped from the bone of both his legs. Completely gone. His legs from the knees down were reduced to two bloody, broken sticks. He was awake, being rushed from the scene...his legs from the knee down completely destroyed. I am sad, but also now a little mad. Because as an American I just think " that and whoever is responsible." And thats about it :/

[replyingto=millsc]millsc[/replyingto]it seems no matter what or who they are its a matter of being too self important, self indulgent, and believing you know something others don't, and intend to make a point of it
politically, ideologically, personally, and mentally these folks are bent and full of themselves. in short....they're stupid and unhappy and full of fear. this leads to distrust and disconnect and hate. put that together with self important thinking and....kaboom

Ya, it was probably someone angry at society again. Killed 3 people and 160 or more injured is not funny. I hope they catch this bomber.. Recalling from history, the unibomber was only caught, because his brother noticed the unibomber letters had a y key fall like his brother. If police had never shown the public the letters, the case would never have been solved. Attachments:

Why else would someone (not totally insane) commit such a hideous act?

Well it looks like we will be hearing more about the areas near Boston today/tommorrow. Just look on any news site or Yahoo/Msn. More stuff going on-----much much smaller than the scale of the marathon.

Reports say the guy in the black Bridgestone cap is dead but the white capped, longer haired guy is still on the loose.
Sort of confusing because I saw a vid of one of them captured, laying on the ground. He didn't look dead or injured. BUT, was he one of the suspects or just mistaken for one by police at the time? If he is the dead one he must have been injured or dead? He was lying face down, arms out as instructed. Looked asleep tbh
I wonder if these guys are just mass killer sorts? Using bombs instead of guns? Maybe they have a political bend, idk? But I saw one "expert" say religious / political / ideological terrorist usually die in the attack giving their life for the cause, or try to get away to fight another day. In fact they plan to get away to fight another day. It's part of the M.O.
But these guys? Seem like "blaze of glory" types what with car jackings and shootouts. Giving their lives in the event or planning a getaway to fight another day does not seem part of the M.O., here. In fact its said they can both be seen in pics standing near the blasts, looking at their handy work after the explosions. This an expert said is similar to the arsonist who watches nearby as a building burns and fire trucks arrive to try and defeat his work. He enjoys watching what he did

Oops. Well, looks like they are from overseas, after all. Young, brothers. Somehow I feel bad for these pathetic folks who do not value this life whatsoever. One of these is only 19. How does one come to believe like this? It must start early Anywho i am going to figure the "lone wolf" kind of terrorists. "Inspired" and maybe with some connections here and there, but acting alone and perhaps instructed to. Its said with terror cells cut off from leadership and young people willing to die for the cause, some get itchy and go for the gusto alone. I guess they figure they will show they can't be stopped. And this is most likely true as it bears itself out time and time again Terrorism is failed strategy, though. I wonder when they might realize this?
