Is better to get variator and sliders of the same brand or as a kit, the sliders tend to flip a lot of times if they are not of the same brand as the variator, you can try using sliders with your existing variator and might get lucky if they don't flip, but to be on the safe side get both as a kit or of the same brand.

Ricky is spot on with this. I wasn't impressed with the sliders over the rollers. I use the Rollers.

The proof is in the picture. These are knockoff sliders. You can tell because they are orange. Have you tried authentic Dr. Pulley? The company that owns Dr. Pulley has a proprietary plastic that self lubricates and wears very differently than that of the orange sliders. This is why they work. Matt

Thanks for the advice. I'll use the rollers that came with my variator set. I bought a cheap one till the end of the month when my other kit comes in.nice pics you have me convinced! Dr. Pully is kind of expensive for my budget right now but in the near future I will get a Dr. Pully variator. I'm juse experimenting right now to see what weight is best. I bought nuts and washers for my new cylinder studs and they all stripped out!! Thank God it was just the nuts when I torqued them. That was the gy6 store! Nice stuff!! I totally freaked out thinking it was my block that stripped out, but new nuts at the hardware store down the street and I'm good to go. Just waiting for a few tools and parts and the scoot will be flying!!! I have 2 carbs set up for a quick change if it needs more gas. Can't wait to test it out.

Donna if the Polini or chose is any different. I would stay away from the coated NCY, I knew better with a Teflon coating wold last any amount of time. The coating immediately starts to come off ant actually impedes the rollers from rolling causing flat spots.

Matt Your welcome and I will continue to plug and comment on my transactions with your fine establishment. I again called on Monday and got a real person and not just a person ones with BRAINS!! She said all the right words to help and assist me in every way. the phone call was prompted by a order shortage from another vendor who never picks up the phone and voice mail always full and now the email address for service come back non deliverable. so it on to Pay-pal to get my money back Yup its Crappy Dog Scooters. already got fake parts from them in the past and its over now, I will only deal with you fine folks.

How are the Polini and Koso variators? On a QMB139 bike, an authentic KOSO variator is an excellent choice... and honestly unless the bike is highly modified it's a better fit than either Dr. Pulley or Polini in my opinion. Here's a link: www.partsforscooters.com/128-22-Koso-QMB139-High-Performance-VariatorThe catch with KOSO is that there are a lot of knockoffs out there, so if you find it on EBAY or Amazon for way cheaper than what we have ours listed, it's probably not real. We're currently the only importer of authentic KOSO TW scooter parts in the US at this time. Matt

All the reviews I read about crappy dogs are really bad. I wouldn't buy a flange nut from them. I guess the name says it all dogs!! Scrappy sounds like the bottom of the garbage barrel and dogs is self explanatory haha. I almost purchased from them till I saw the reviews and their ridiculous prices. Anybody know where I can get a high torque starter for my little harley 50cc 1p39qmb?
