How bout some more info of what ya got going on. issa 125cc qingqi 10-H with 11000km since i buy it in a bad shape i keep working on it, but it still running to rich like the day i bought it and get's hot quick, here is what i do so far, rebuild the carb, new air filter, new fuel hoses/fuel filter, adjust the valves, and double check everything, now someboooooty tell me that it can be the ingnition system? Don't know for sure, i buy this scoot to use it for parts for my other Qingqi 125-10-D wich is pretty same like the H with different design but the engine is same, i want to give it another chance maybe ride it this summer but if i dont fix this i am pretty sure i will melt the piston or even mess up the cylinder. But you made me thinking about the main jet, when i take a look inside it to see day light i have think that the hole is to big like the other jets is see but i dont think about it at the time and just put it back, i will check with my other scooter the jet to see any difference since the carb and engine cc's are the same. Thanks

Did you do anything to the Scooter (tuning/jetting) to think it is Rich? or What makes you think its Rich? Another thing to consider is the Intake Charge of Fuel acts as a Coolant When it Enters the Cylinder, Your Not going to Melt Anything Down if it gets Too Much Fuel. This is a Fixed Jet Carb so not much on all on its own is going to make her go Rich. Running Rich and Hot should Not go hand in hand. Think of the Bunson Burner in School, On its own the Alcohol flame is Yellow Now Add the Air Hose and you are Leaning its out and the Flame Goes to Blue or White Hot, Good luck

This is the answer on the how i know it runs hot, about if i tune the carb with new jets No. But maybe the old owner did, dont have so much history of this one cause the old owner move from the country and leave it to a woman from wich i buy it, i consider to buy a smaller main jet or a new carb from ebay, and see what will do around next week since i am busy at the moment

Rich engines run cooler... but as the jets do not seem to make it run more lean and still hot what can i do to make it at least not hot as it is my main problem, the engine gets to hot and just after 10 or 15 minutes on the road it lose power and the engine produce a lot of heat

Are all the plastic covers in place? Make sure no broke fins on cooling fan, and all plastic around engine is in place.

Sorry for butting in but have you checked your oil level? That would SURE make it hot if the level of oil was really low. Also, I did some research on oils which have a lot of zink (ZDDP) in them and found that Valvoline Heavy Duty Cummins Diesel oil has the most in it. ZDDP is the best anti-friction element you can get that protects metal surfaces against friction wear, especially cams and lifters and cylinder walls. Have been using it a long time and have had absolutely no wear on my scooters and BMW R90/6. The EPA made oil companies take it out of oils because of their concern over polution, but, moreover, when cars started using catalitic converters, they suspected ZDDP was stopping them up (?). I use the Cummins Valvoline in all my cars and have had no problems. The Cummins label is on the front of the jug. Also, by what you said about your exhaust being oily, that would indicate the rings or cylinder are worn out. Good luck. the Old Zipper

Thanks anyway
