Have had mine for a month and it is very versatile. I live in a downtown area it's nimble enough for the city. As it's not broken in, I haven't done a top speed run. I will be fast enough for 55 mph highways, but don't intend to try boring interstates. The front and rear disc brakes are very strong and progressive. Riding position a little cramped thanks to seat hump but it's not enough for me to have buyers remorse as a local auto upholstery shop can take care of that. The suspension is a little harsh at low speeds but should get better with mileage. The cvt engages a little slowly from a stop so I'll do some Dr. Pulley sliders 10.5 vs the stock 11g conventional rollers. I'm getting 70 mpg in stop and go short trips. The fuel injection is flawless. I paid $3800 on the road and it's worth more. Considered a PCX150 but the rear drum brake, less horsepower, and the front floor made me go for the Yamaha. Have to admit my Genuine R50 is more fun under 45 mph de restricted thanks to its chain saw screaming little engine. I love them both and recommend them highly.

An SMax finished the recent Scooter Cannonball in second place over bigger scooters. It only lost by a small margin to a well prepped Honda Helix.

Had a Malossi variator installed by an independent shop who also did a valve adjustment. The intakes were tight so be sure to check them every 2000 miles or so. The variator change really helps getting the scooter off the line. It weighs 329 pounds and add your weight so it has its work cut out for it. The engine revs about the same at any given speed so all good. All and all it's a great scooter but I found a new Kymco gt300i for a good price so my Smax is on Cycletrader. If it doesn't sell that's okay
