Whoa, brother!

PLEASE don't let the exhaust hang from the head, even just sitting there... LET ALONE ride it that way. It can easily crack the head because of the weight and leverage it exerts on the head.

Your good closeup photo shows the pipe's mount-tab is only a few inches away from the mount-hole. You should be able to put a long-enough bolt (or piece of threaded-stock) there, to reach through the exhaust-tab to the frame-hole. Measure the "open space" between the mount and frame, and cut a piece of tubing (steel, aluminum, whatever's handy) to make a stout spacer, and put nuts on each each side of both pieces so they're pinched tight. That will keep the long bolt from flexing.

The pipe mount looks slightly "low" compared to the frame-hole, but it may just be flexing a little from weight. If it won't line up without straining, you can make a slight "S" bend in the bolt or threaded-stock, but be sure to place needed nuts on before bending, or they won't thread on.

If an S-bend in the bolt is needed because the holes are too far off, up/down, or fore/aft, it would be easier to use threaded stock instead of a bolt. Then, the space could be filled with washers (which would conform to the S-bend). Just be sure to double-nut and pinch well, each end, or the vibrations will eventually crack the bolt, or threaded stock.

Make sure the exhaust is good and solid to that frame, as the aluminum head CANNOT stand the weight of the exhaust "wrenching" against it.

Hope this helps, it's a pretty simple one-bolt-and-spacer fix.

I love these "turtle-back" scoots! Very retro, and your new exhaust will be a nice addition! Just DON'T break that head by letting the exhaust hang free...

Very often, a new exhaust won't quite fit up to the factory mounts. You have to expect to "Mickey-Mouse" things a little... LOL! I'm about to replace my own exhaust, and will surely run into the same problems. It's well-worth a little cutting, bending or drilling to get it on right.

try some washers and a long bolt like the guy above said. i had some problems mounting my exhaust too mainly with the support bracket i needed to concoct a little brace like the guy above's picture. my bolts lined up fine but you will get through it dude. I recently had to take my exhaust off and put the stock one back on because I was getting too much air flow and it was bogging the engine down maybe when I get a big valve head I'll try it back out.

Ya but if it's not a straight shot he will need a dremel to angle cut the pipe I would say just use washers and impact it on there. but thats just an opinion. Ya have a valid point.
