on my way home, stopped at a light and while at idle scoot is pulling forward. I suspected worn roller weights (using dr pulley variator and weights). opened CVT and inspected... variator mechanics look fine - one roller has a slight groove in it but not bad. Rollers are about 1yr old. Could this be the issue or something else?
What do I look for?

check for a vacuum leak like cracked in hose or carb loose on mounting

Year, brand, model?
Sometimes the large clutch nut will loosen and contact the inner bell surface.
A clutch bearing may be deficient resulting in excessive drag.

It could also be a broken clutch pad that is engaging the clutch.

idle is not an issue is at 1560rpm as it always has been, as i have fuel injection. so I've ruled out leaks. Inspected clutch and all seems fine. I had this happen about a year ago and it was a roller that had flipped so i assumed the same. will put new rollers in and see if it corrects the problem.
This is a 2014 150cc qmj157 engine if it helps
do rollers actually wear out? in other words should they be replaced on a set schedule? miles-months?

Was an aftermarket fuel injection system installed? Original 150cc GY6 fuel injected models are somewhat rare . . example.

This is a 2014 150cc qmj157 engine if it helps do rollers actually wear out? in other words should they be replaced on a set schedule? miles-months? Yeah they get major flat spots after awhile. It'll effect performace a little bit. I tend to change mine once, more like twice a year on average-- like early spring and mid-summer. I put quite a few miles on my small engine per year. Rollers are fairly cheap anyway. I also keep a close eye on the "v" gudes that slip onto the variator back plate-- once they crack and break, there will be metal to metal contact within the variator and that will cause performance issues and will trash your variator in the long run.

This might be something you've thought of before, but I had this problem once before, and it was because I has adjusted the part of the car that that attached to the throttle cable to be too tight. This meant that I got to much fuel, which made my idling scooter try to move forward.
