Front tire and forks took most of the impact. Good thing there was only pickup bed there, or I'd have planted my face in some steel.

I took a ride to the store(about a mile and a half). On the way back as I was almost home, a small pickup truck Just came out of a sidestreet right in front of me. I broadsided it right behind the passenger door. Scooter is totalled! it desintegrated.Thankfully I wasn't hurt bad. just bruised up. The driver asked me about the bike, and gave me all the cash he had at thee time $840.00 and says he will cover the rest to get me a new one. Did not waant to go through insurance. Lucky I was wearing gear. I was doing about 38 mph when i hit him. Now looking at the 150 cc same exact as what I had. imotorsports.net/p671/Raptor-150cc-Scooter-(Motorcycle).htm

Glad to hear you're unscathed(physically anyway). Apalled to hear that someone actually made contact with you while riding, and did'nt immediately stop to see if you were ok and to offer assistance. Were the local police involved, or are you just settling this between yourselves?

And bearings are the same way. I've bought thousands of bearings (the most expensive was$1,600 from ireland) anyway, I've seen a common bearing I can get for 3 to 5 bucks sell for 15 or 20.-and more Best to get belts and bearings, chain, sprockets etc from an industrial supplier Not a Retail store.Or get it from a member of this forum. There's plenty of smaller suppliers here that would appreciate the buisiness. Most of the bearings are common parts.... And I can get high quality Japenese one's cheap, same day. Just got to know where to go. But then I buy bearings, compressors, and other MRO stuff, for a living. It kills me putting chinese bearings back in these things, I just won't do it. Agreed 100% I buy all kinds of supplies for industry. Japan makes quality bearings at half the cost of the big boys (timken,sealmaster...)I get from several sources. Sometimes though, you run into a specialty bearing, and you gotta pay. Funny though, That 1600 dollar bearing , I had to order it from england. GUESS WHAT---- MADE IN CHINA-shipped to england-then to belfast ireland- then to the states.I could'nt beleive it. A chinese company bought the machinery company that made it. A lot of the textile equipment has gone that way even german companies.

Hello all, I ran a VIN check on my Znen project. The title report came back "Salvage-Stolen" in Georgia on 10/29/10 and apparently was title by an insurance company on 2/24/12. Now what do I do? I live in South Carolina. Can any of you, who are Georgians, give me some advice? The DMW won't release contact info of the title owner, because I do not have the proper credentials. What better credentials can you have besides the very scooter itsself?

good luck with that... The insurance co probably does'nt even know they own a scooter.probably buried in reams of paperwork along with the other small loss claims. Maybe better to contact state police in Ga.

I have the same mounts. What I want to see is the 150 cc mounts on the same frame as mine. 150's mount from the top. That 150 has the same body and frame as mine.(it's the exact same bike) .I want to see how they did that.

You will not gain any top end speed with a BBK alone. Just more torque. To gain speed, you need to experiment with the variator and gearing.I find that 5 gram sliders, and 16/50 gears work very well. Plenty of Off-the-line power, really good improvement in uphill performance, and good cruising speeds 40-45 without WOT all the time. Also 39mm is the stock bore. If you want a good BBK, go with a 50mm.

Wow nice bike good price too. I would buy that instead of. a motor swap to a 150.it would be just as expensive if not more. Why not go new? gotta get motor mounts, isolation bar, mufflersystem, rim and tire, plus exhaust brackets and the gy6 150 plus labor unless ypur gonna dp it yourself. still lotta aggrevation. I don't know about that. You're right in most cases, however that bike is the same body, same frame, same wheels, and same everything. That's why I want To see it Particularly the motor mounting bracket. Probably just one weld -on bracket. If I see It, I can make one.

I like to use Interstate batteries. They have batteries for everything (or they will make it to your spec) and the stand behind their product. Http://www.interstatebatteries.com

The stem on my scooter is 15/16", I had a stem from a junior bmx bike which was 1". I bought a 11/8" to 1" shim at my local bike shop for 2$ then took a small chunk out of it so I would reduce from 1" to 15/16", works just fine and I got a set of drag bars off amazon for 28$. It did take some bending and prying but once I had it on and tightened down it felt incredibly solid. Ill post some pics. That's excellent thinking, A split bushing. You must have some industrial Mechanic experience.
