Maybe in a long run, but I doubt it in the 1/8 or even 1/4 mile.Turbos are notorious for lag time

I find it hard to beleive that ANY small displacement engine(less than 250cc) would have the power required to spool-up a turbo in the short length of time required for it to make any appreciable difference in a short race.

So now I have three scooters. The baja sc50 has no damage, just old and some electrical probs, Still have a brand new qmb139 with a BBK, three different heads too. and I got the wrecked 50 (ill fix that) and the new one. I'm gonna use this one, Cost me a couple of hundred and a lot of pain and bruises, but the money the guy gave me paid for most of it

Well, I took it out for a spin. I am impressed. you're right, I feel the difference right away. and it does have a much better ride. This model has upgraded shocks. I think though, I am going to put in a variator with some sliders.I got used to the way they work. just don't seem right on this one with the rollers.Went uo to 55 (on the chinometer) and still was climbing but I backed off ...still new, not even 10 miles. I'm Keeping it, but I'm still fixing my 50--- It was personalized by me for me I still like it

Yeah, I had to plate and insure the 50. R.I. makes you plate all scooters. I have'nt ridden it yet . Trucked it home. I know the sound is way different,You can hear that it has twice the power.I'll probably like it, It's just that I had my 50 exactly the way I wanted it. I was very happy. I still am going to fix it. Even if it costs me another 5 or600 bucks. then I can decide which one to keep. I really don't need a Fast & powerful bike. the way I had the 50 modded was perfect for me. We'll see how it goes. And It does have 13" wheels despite what the link says, so number one on my list is to replace the rubber with good quality bike tires.Or, (ijust thought of this) I could simply swap the wheels. Michelins are already mounted and balanced, and I don't think the front wheel was damaged, just the forks and triple tree.

Took a trip up to Rockland Mass today and bought the new scooter It's the 150.If they had a red &silver 50 like mine, i would have got that but i got the 150 for the same price. A couple of things I kinda don't like is this one has 13" wheels so my brand new michelins wont fit, and it doesn't have the 2t type exhaust with the expansion chamber like mine did otherwise its a twin. Found out I can get the triple tree and the body panels to fix up the 50 so its all good imotorsports.net/p671/Raptor-150cc-Scooter-(Motorcycle).htm

Sailracer,
Cheesh! I'm so glad you're OK! Lots of wrecks around the site lately. You'll like the 150! The hardest wrecks to avoid seem to be the guy pulling out right in front of you, and the guy hitting you from behind (whether you're stopped, OR moving...). There is little you can do except be as "heads-up" as possible. Be sure to get checked over. It IS possible to be hurt and not realize it. Near 40 mph is a NASTY impact, even with protective armor. Stay safe, heal fast!Leo in Texas strange feeling That is, You know youre about to hit,and just accept it. (nothing I can do now),and then,it's happening.
