WHY? were you having a problem?the gains you would get are negligible for the amount of oil in the sump. I would just leave well enough alone JMO

Either you got a bad bottle of oil, or you have a clever enemy...you choose

I bought the premium exhaust gasket set from PFS,I also bought the ring type(just in case) The flange gasket works best. You can usee both too, if the ring type fitsinto the flange type. It flattens out.

>:(these***$###@-- chinese motors!!!! I picked up a compression tester with nice brass metric fittings, screwed it into the plug hole, tested, and the darn fitting stayed in the head, but the hose unscrewed Had to remove half the shroud just to take it out! why cant they put the plug in an easier place! :-Xchinese( got it out,and superglued the fitting to the hose...wont unscrew again) anyway, tested the stock 37mm piston qmb139-factory=160 PSI Ill do the scrappy and the hoca later

Just got the Hoca piston in the mail.I gotta say, In terms of quality, there is absolutely no comparison to the hoca vs the piston supplied in the kit from scrappydog's.When I get the gaskets in tomorrow, I will do a compression test with 1 base /2 bases, and the regular BBk piston. Hoca looks top-notch,even comes in it'sown box

yeah ups and fedex next day air is insane! i used to use it a lot at work for machine parts. sometimes shipping is more than the part itself. you can try 2nd day, it's cheaper. I find that for smaller parts usps priority is the best. If I order from either of the ones I mentioned earlier on a monday, I usually have it on wednesday

partsfor scooters always ships my orders the same day priority mail. scrappydog scooters does the same, butthey don't have a toll free, and hard to get on the phone=busy a lot. YOU HAVE TO CALL. P.F.S. has better gaskets 1-866-478-8700

[replyingto=oldchopperguy]oldchopperguy[/replyingto]yeah, but I love my exhaust with the chamber. It performs better than a regular muffler, and it does it without exessive noise!I will probably "graft a 1" header onto it like you did.Maybe get a premade one, and weld it onto the chamber.Might have to bend and adjust a little. I still think that a 1" ready made exhaust like that is a good idea.

[replyingto=newbscootdude]newbscootdude[/replyingto]From what I can see, Everything looks a-ok. and you are right about the gaskets, you can use rtv silicone on the valve cover if you wish. I cant see any reason why you got oil in the cylinder. Did you have the bike on it's side, or tip it in an abnormal direction? I would just assemble it again, and turn it by hand several times with the plug out to see if it binds. If not, run it.

I agree, but is the mark on the piston really a dent or scuff? Possible the intake valvee hit it? when you put the piston in, did you make sure the I was on top?I dont think It's possible for the intake valve to hit the piston, as the piston is on the way down when it opens.(assuming timing is correct.) Maybe a tiny peice of junk found its way to the valve seat? IMO, clean it up and try again.

[replyingto=scootnwinn]scootnwinn[/replyingto]I thought he was saying the bearing has a bump in it, if so, something's wrong. like you say, everything attached to it, sprocket, chaain, bearings. I've never seen thee lobes wear, usually lifters.or rockers wear out .
