Does the center stand stay on the frame? that's a plus if it does. makes putting it back in easier

[replyingto=paulgendek]paulgendek[/replyingto]Beleive it or not, DAWN dish detergent is about the best thing going. I clean most anything with it. Rinse well, towel dry. also, as far as the rain x stuff goes, Is anybody here old enough to remember glass wax?( we used to stencil christmas decorations on the windows when I was little with it). Well Rain x is nothing more than good old fashioned GLASS WAX. I forget who made it, But it's good antifog too.

If I were you, I would get a new piston too. I can almost guarantee you that the grooves WILL NOT take new rings. Especially if it was running lean and hot. Those grooves damage easily, and the tolerance has to be exact in order to accept new rings properly. It has happened to me

yeah thanks!! I just dropped the engine, took off the carb & muffler ( thing's a pain cause the center stand stays on the bike- have to go around it) ,swapped the jug and put it all back. Maybe 1 hour 's work. Fired right up and ran great

when you took off the airbox, you made the mixture really lean. I burned up a piston that way. Lucky you didn't soft seize it...or maybe you did

I carry too much stuff. Extra carb. Came in handy when installed one failed flooding 2 feet of fuel hose zip ties extra spark plug stock coil and cdi I have in the frame as back ups stock fuel "pump" in frame 2 valve stems and 6" C clamp MM sockets/wrench Fuses Philips and flathead screw drivers and attachments Wires Next I'm getting an extra battery so I don't have to fix my kick start. I Help! sign would be good to have too. People on the road keep jumper cables with them so it just takes nice trustworthy people who aren't there to rob you the next thing you need is a trailer with a spare pocket bike in it

Well, I didn't at first. The stuff was all scrappydog"s . than they wouldn't sell me just the piston and rings seperately.(it got damaged from soft seize) so I got the hoca to try out. that didn't work out too well. That's when millsc suggested airsal. so I went with that one. Absolutely no regrets there ;D Thanks fer the kudos
