GIVI makes removable trunks. Monolock. You can easily remove it from the base when not in use. It's a pushbutton latch built into the lock.I have one, but I wired my running, brake and directionals to it.They make a kit for the brake light with a plug, but I did'nt want to spend the extra $ WWW.giviusa.com

go with the trunk if it's the same color as the bike.Once you start using it, you'll love it!It's better to carry stuff in because it isn't getting the heat from the motor.especially food and stuff.

maybe a whole bunch of us should throw in a buck or two, order one and see what happens. If one actually shows up(doubtful but possible) we could give it away in a lottery or a raffle or something

I would advise you to get an airsal 50mm kit. They are excellent quality, engineered to use with a stock head and carb ,come with gaskets and a set of instructions too in case you need the help. I tried two different bbks before the airsal. I am thrilled with it.I also run 16/50 gears. mods are in my signature Don't forget to upgrade your tires and brakes.(thatwas my first mod!)

what kind of weights are in the variator? more likely than not, you're going to have to change them.probably too heavy for the 49cc.

vaseline works good too,and not as messy.Or you could get some dielectric compound and coat them. it's also very good in all the plugs and connectors, preventsmoisture and corrosion and maintains excellent contact.

Yeah or even an 18mm will be fine. I thought we suggested for you not to get the 150cc one. When I first did my bbk, I used the stock carb with an jet,and it ran fine. I changed it out because the adjuster screw was blocked off. was the bike cutting out at wot before this?

not true. When my jonway was brand new, i suffered the same symptoms, it drove me nuts. Then one time it happened, For some reason, I decided to open the tank to check fuel level. I left it1/2 way closed, and noticed that it didn't happen again. I looked on some other scooter forums, and saw a thread about the same thing. It said drill a small hole so i did and problem solved. It could be a venting issue in another area of the system, but who cares? letting a little more air into the tank works fine. also its a well known fact that at wide open throttle in any engine (even in cars),manifold vacuum significantly drops. this is a common problem in scooters. From the description of his problem, This is exactly what it is. Not jetting. he already tried that.If the manufacturers did everything right, this forum would serve no purpose ;D

Have you tried to connect fuel line directly to the tank, and leave the gas cap off?
