Ok Kat, I understand.. Take it slow by all means, a friend of mine, a Harley rider posted that announcement on my Facebook, I just thought it was a good idea... I didn't even know that organization existed, but they included motorcyclist and scooterist together...
Honestly I liked the pairing of the two, and thought it was a good idea.

Well still have some fine tuning to do, I hate that variator weight combination, that came with the engine. I was going to work yesterday climbing the hill I call "Scooter Killer" As it kills a normal scooters speed.. Fawkes normally climbs right up it, accelerating as I go, yesterday I didn't lose speed, but I didn't accelerate either.. Have to adjust the fuel/air of the main jet a little more, I'm pretty sure Fawkes is a little rich, perhaps that will help... I just don't think I'm getting the power I had as a even a 72cc.... Tell you what this ain't going to work, if I can't get better performance from this combo, I'm buying NCY's cc kit...

Cool . I like to use thestock airbox too.I think my only issue will be with gearing. Really I only want to be able to maintain 40MPH without wot all the time, and good hiilclimbing. Ohhhh 40 is no problem, but you will probably have to change the gearing to something like 16/50 and heaver roller weights, Personally i like sliders.. After that I'm pretty sure your baby will do as you want.. Ohhh I almost forgot to mention, the long case feels like I'm driving a bus LOL, not quit used to it yet... But I em falling in love all over again

Hi Jack, I did the whole thing, gearing and every thing.. The old airbox didn't fit the long case, but i made a bracket and I'm still using it. I'm just not a fan of Unifilters.. Everything was pretty straight forward, I changed the oil that came with it to a good dino oil for breakin, I used the piston, rings, gaskets and jug from scrappys bbk, the rest was from Fawkes original engine, HP cam, 50mm bb head, Hi flow Muffler, 20mm carb, had to go with a 100 mj the was too small and Fawkes was starvin for fuel, and Fawkes 17/49 gearing... The variator I haven't messed with but I did install Fawkes clutch and clutch bell from Hoca.. The roller weights are set up for a 50cc and I can tell I'm wasting power.. Ill have to address that issue next weekend... In most respects this rebuild went very well and without too much trouble.. One interesting thing Ill note on the new engine, they had a separate ground wire from the starter to a connector. So i cut it off and split the wire and ran the hot to the solenoid and the ground I ran it to the frame and grounded it, So this engine has two grounds... I should also say I'm using the HP CDI I bought from John ( tvnacman) here on it's the ride.. And it is working very well.. Fawkes when you hit that starter button just can't wait to fire up and go, I mean he fires up right now

I ordered from Scrappydog, Enviromoto and I have been to Scooterworks in the past 2 months. I have good things to say about Scrappy and Scooterworks. I actually went to the Scooterworks dealership/store here in Chicago and they also have a warehouse. Remember Scooterworks owns Genuine scooter company. Very professional. Very nice. Genuine uses many NCY products in some of their production models as well. Scrappy stuff I buy on ebay. It's usually cheaper, it includes shipping, and they ship really fast. Seems like Envriomoto is 1 guy trying to re-sell stuff. So I haven't received the best service from him. He also ships slow compared to other places. His prices aren't the best either. Ive always had good service from Enviormoto, but he's only and hour and a half away, fairly fast even with snail mail delivery..

Ohhh my daughters wanted me to go to Fort Wayne for a bbq, and Id love to, but financial matters, are making me stay home and put the engine in Fawkes, Long story short, My middle daughter is having lot of problems with her pregnancy and because of it, is now off work till after her baby is born, The father ( in Five years, and 2 kids, this one being the third, has never held a job, and uses his temper to control her and the grand kids ) he never even watch the grand kids while she worked, instead keeping his nose in video games for 16 out of 24 hours, coming home to grand kids in dirty diapers, dishes not done, and a dirty house. She finally kicked him out just last week.. Actually I'm quite happy she did away with that bum, but for the next two months I have the financial load.. My Fathers day is honestly every day, when I see the love and respect for me in my daughter's eyes, happy grand kids that are playing and being kids, there is no better father's day and it's every day... Priceless aint it? no substitute for that! My youngest daughter just called, Comming to see me. Yea it is priceless, and I'm proud my kids see me that way, But that's what Fathers do... Put the needs of their family and children, and yes grandchildren first... Sometimes those decisions aren't popular or fun, I would rather be at the bbq, But this is the only day I have off from work to get this stuff done. I talked to my Oldest daughter on the phone and she will be down next week to help my middle daughter, so Ill see her then, and we will all have a belated Fathers day bbq..
