My wife wanted to see Capt Marvel today. We showed up an hour late due to the effin time change and missed the movie. We were watching the clock in her car, instead of our phone, which updates time automatically. -The theater was less than 20 miles from NASA, but Apollo 11 wasn't being shown this weekend. Odd. -If you have a dog in the house, you do not want to watch Apollo 11 at home. The beeps in the radio transmissions drive them crazy. My Schnauzer would crawl under our bed when he heard those two way radios.

Is Apollo 11 all footage or are any actors used? I have seen no promos for that film.

Great story. No matter how hard you plan, unexpected things happen on the road. -been almost 30 years since my tour of Asia, courtesy of the USMC. not many places there I would attempt to drive myself. Maybe Japan. No effin way I would drive an auto or scooter in South Korea.

They could easily pass under a semi trailer in that posture. Those sport bike guys in Houston ride like there is no tomorrow.

Seems to me, something in the rotating parts is slipping, since valve lash is changing. Is it the stock cam or a new HP cam? Did you replace the cam bearings? I have no experience with BBK kits, but I have done plenty of valve adjustments. Is it a normal GY6 mill? On my Genuine Buddy, I have to remove the sprocket on the new GY6 HP cam and press on the sprocket from my old stock cam.

What do you think an original print of one of those posters would be worth? I've seen that guy on Pickers pay crazy money for original movie posters.

Houston is a tough town for truck drivers. The freeways don't move. Its very difficult to get to the lane you need to be in. -We have "expansive soil" in the Bayou City, The soil dictates that we have concrete roads and freeways. The soil expands after a big rain. When it drys and the soil contracts, the concrete surfaces crack like crystal. The truck drivers feel every bump 5 times (five axles). -A barge hit the I-10 San Jacinto River bridge near Baytown yesterday and all westbound lanes were closed. A good time was had by all. -In contrast, he waters around here are very smooth, compared to the South Seas and Western Pacific. Even the Galveston Ferry provides a smooth ride. -That being said, Merchant Marine sailors are still more macho. Storms seem 100 times more powerful in the open ocean. Anchors away.

Not a lot of great movies out right now. We saw The Boy Who Would be King (Not to be confused with The Man Who Would be King, Starring Michael Caine and Sean Connery). Its an OK movie. Kid friendly. I would have have rather stayed home and watched the old Caine/Connerymovie on NetFlix.
