I've been a truck driver and I've been on ship as a Marine so I'm going with Merchant Sailor.

Didn't know you were a Marine, flyangler. Semper Fi. I vote for the manly men of the sea.

Both are macho jobs, but while truck driving involves skilled handling in some awful weather, a merchant seaman has to deal with even worse!
Gotta go with the sailor!

I feel that I need to support the Team Purple, and since we don't have sailors I gotta vote truck driver.

Houston is a tough town for truck drivers. The freeways don't move. Its very difficult to get to the lane you need to be in. -We have "expansive soil" in the Bayou City, The soil dictates that we have concrete roads and freeways. The soil expands after a big rain. When it drys and the soil contracts, the concrete surfaces crack like crystal. The truck drivers feel every bump 5 times (five axles). -A barge hit the I-10 San Jacinto River bridge near Baytown yesterday and all westbound lanes were closed. A good time was had by all. -In contrast, he waters around here are very smooth, compared to the South Seas and Western Pacific. Even the Galveston Ferry provides a smooth ride. -That being said, Merchant Marine sailors are still more macho. Storms seem 100 times more powerful in the open ocean. Anchors away.
