I noticed my Gy6 150 scoot really screams everywhere I go,,30 MPH its taching 5 grand,,40 almost 6K,and 50 over 7K.... I don't got no tach, but my Vespa sounds like a angry bumblebee. The specifications cite peak 11.7 hp @ 8,000 rpm and peak 8.7 ft.lbs @ 6,250 rpm. I would expect the engine to be running at top efficiency at between 6-8K rpm.

I went in the 60's ;D If Knotts berry farm is still in existence, you should go there too. Have a good one I worked for about 3 months in '70 -- when Walter Knott and family owned it. Walter died in '81, 14 years later his kids preferred money instead of working and sold it out. It is still there, but now it is just another amusement park.

The Dominguez Channel has been locked behind the bars and concrete: THIS is what LaLaLand calls a river. You guys have a tamed a river, or do you only have wild ones?

What size was that on mate? I bet your right wrist was knackered after keeping it at WOT for so long! Lol Ian Vespa LX150 -- 150.5cc, California Freeway Legal. I had rented on and learned that I am comfortable on the freeway, so I got the Vespa. Otherwise I would have had gotten a Stella, 147.5cc. At 67, I am already knackered. Pain is normal, if I wake up in the morning without pains it means I have dead and am in Heaven. After 260 miles the main pains were thighs and my right elbow? Huh? And the pain tweaks when I squeeze the brakes. Looks like I need to shorten stops to about every 45-75 minutes with a 5 minute walkabout. And maybe one of those clips to hold the throttle open.

(click for big map) I get 66.6 mpg, city, average over six months, considerable more than the 50 mpg or less with my last bike. Went for a ride on the Interstate, WOT, 261 miles. I only got about got about 62 mpg -- seems that wind drag trumps small displacement. I have to remap my tour to less miles/leg. Curious -- my 652cc Savage got about 60 mpg on the Interstate too.
