I purchased a high performance 2 stroke intake manifold from Scrappydawg Scooters and a 21 mm Mikuni manual choke carb. The intake manifold has 2 vacuum ports. What are these ports used for....1 for oil injection? Maybe? The other for what? The carb does not a have oil injection port on it. So, need help in figuring out what lines go where. Any help or a diagram would be very helpful!

I just installed a "NEW" Mikuni oil injection pump on my 2 stroke scooter. Now I have oil leaking from the header pipe flange on the scooter. I've checked to see if the pump is completely off when the throttle is closed and it appears to be. I have let the scooter sit for a few weeks and it looks as if the oil tank is slowly losing oil. Is it possible for the oil pump to leak oil into the engine while it is sitting without turning the throttle? Why would I have oil leaking around the header pipe flange? Anyone have any ideas? Any help would be appreciated!!

Anyone know what the ohm readings should be on the white/blue wire to the white/green wire on a 2 stroke stator? Just purchased a new stator and the ohm reading I'm getting is 1228 ohms or 1.228 ohms. The old stator is reading 447 ohms, or .447 ohms. The old stator seems to be weak. Changed the rectifier and lights are still dimming and battery charge voltage is at 9.62 volts.

[replyingto=skuttadawg]skuttadawg[/replyingto]Thanks for the input on the 28mm KOSO carburetor! My mistake......This Benelli X50 is highly modified with an MTRT 70cc bore kit w/ceramic composite piston moly rings and aluminum cylinder. Technigas exhaust. High velocity cooling fan. Stage 6 adjustable clutch and bell, malossi belt, 3000 rpm torque spring, and clutch springs, roller torque spring seat, carbon fiber reeds, and aluminum intake manifold. Don't think the carburetor is too big as the bike runs GREAT with the enrichment circuit engaged. Just looking for ideas on the proper pilot jet size to begin with, so the bike will run without the enrichment circuit engaged. I have a set of pilot jets from Stage 6 the start at 35 and go up to 58. I've already tried the 45 and 48 jet, but same results. Have to engage enrichment system for bike to maintain idle. Anyone got an idea?? All help would be appreciated!!

Got my Benelli X50 2 stoke :'(running. Put a NEW 28 mm Koso carb on the bike with a manual choke. Bike will run if I have the enrichment/choke on, but dies as soon as I take the choke off. I have gone from a 45 pilot jet to a 48 pilot jet with no change. Bike will not idle with choke off! I 've adjusted the mixture screw to 1 1/2 and 2 turns out with same results. Any ideas, or what jets I need to get this bike to idle without the choke would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!

Alleyoop,
I will try the things you stated in your post today. I do have the engine grounded to the frame via starter ground. Everything on the bike works electrically, lights. horn, kill switch, starter switch, turn signals and the alarm is cycling. Just have NO POWER to the CDI, thus no power to the coil which of course results in NO SPARK to the plug. I've changed the stator again, but same results. Do you know what the ohm reading should be between the White/grn. wire and Blue/wht. wire? I getting two different readings from the old stator 447 ohms and the new stator 1231 ohms. Checked both stators on the scooter. Any ideas? Thank you.

I have a 2008 Benelli X50 that I just rebuilt with all high performance parts. It has a MTRT 70 cc kit, 28mm Koso carb, Stage 6 clutch and bell, Malossi belt, Technigas exhaust, 3000rpm torque spring and clutch springs and the Koso roller torque spring seat. Installed new stator, NGK plug NGK plug wire, Mikuni oil pump, etc. Tried to start the bike today and it has NO SPARK!! Checked all grounds...all are good. Checked kill switch and it is working fine. Engine turns over strong, but have NO SPARK, NO POWER TO the black and red power wire to the CDI and of course NO POWER to the coil. This bike has a factory installed VENTO alarm system, that I think may have died. It appears from the wiring diagram that this alarm system activates the ignition on the bike when turned off. This alarm system is remote start equipped. Is it possible that the alarm could be causing me not to get power to the CDI box. If so, does anyone know where I need to jumper the harness in order to remove the alarm and start the bike? Any other ideas on why I have NO SPRAK would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!
