I see. Wouldn't just wiring all new wires fix the issue if the case?. that connect from the stator to the regulator.

This scooter is a V.I.P 150 2012. Please help. thanks
I had taken this scooter to a scooter repair shop and me and the mechanic who has fixed hundreads of scooters are stumped.. We changed out the voltage regulator and the stater. It looked like the Voltage regulator is getting the correct amount of voltages going in but is not pumping out any extra voltage to the battery that's needed to charge the battery. Also the voltage regulator does not seem to be working at all. The headlight blows and gets brighter as the engine revs until it burns out. nothign seems to be regulated.
We replaced the stater and we replaced the voltage regulator 3 times.
One thing I would like to note.. after this started happening, when I pull out the the key while it is running the engine is still running but the lights and everything turns off until I hit the kill switch. The scooter still runs without the key but won't start.

Hi. I have a 150cc V.I.P 2012/ After I had my new stater put in after my old one stopped working My headlight seems to be blowing out every time I replace it. I needed a temporary fix so I Disconnected my headlight and connected it directly to the battery. Now.. When I ride the light drains my battery to where it will no longer start. I Then connected it so only my low beams would come on but it still drains the battery..
Am I missing something?. Shouldn't the battery be able to handle atleast be able to handle a little load?.
has anyone had a problem like this with there scooter?. Is it possible a circuit isnt being completed?. If so how do I fix?. Thanks

Anyone have a similar problem?. And how to fix?. Thanks (:
Ok so I'm around 6500 kilometers traveled and out of no where at a stop light I noticed it suddenly felt like my clutch was slipping. Or my belt?. I'm not a professional I just remember a smiler feeling happening to a motorized bicycle I put togethor a long time ago 2008.
Its just not picking up like it did at the last stop light.
If a clutch problem is what the issue is what clutch does the 150 cc powermax V.I.P 2012 scooter use?. Also should I replace the belt why I am at it with 6500 km and all?.
Anyway thanks (:
P.s is it safe to ride?. Will it break down?. Should I baby it?.

Can I just touch them together while trying to start to see if there is a spark in order to see if voltage is getting to my ignition coil or if the problem is further down the line.. Stater. ect. Or could this break something?.
I also could try a volt meter. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Or a lawn mower ignition coil. Maybe even a car? . could this work?. I have no spark and feel there is a good chance it is the ignition cable. Thanks. Sorry if this is a dumb question hah.

Not sure what you meant. But I unscrewed the spark plug with a socket wrench . Plugged it into the black wire and held the plug against the valve cover. where the gap is. And then on the side of the plug. Didnt get anything. However isnt this odd?. Because why does the engine sound different after removing the spark plug if the spark plug wasnt doing anything?.

I took out the spark plug. Pressed it against the valve cover. I don't see any spark of any kind. However the engine sound different without the spark plug in. Spark plug is kinda black.

Well it won't start still. Let it sit all night. Not indicative of a overheating problem?.
What is a valve lash?. Where are feeler gauges sold?. What do you mean by correct valve lash?. Thanks.

Well I remembered when the engine was running and I had grabbed the spark plug one time it shocked me. I tapped it while the engine was trying to start and I got no shock. Is this conclusive?.
However when I grabbed the spark plug the first time It was like falling out almost and I ended up fixing the bike by pushing the spark plug in again.

How exactly do I test for spark?. And how do I ground the spark plug to the valve cover?.
Thanks

ok So on my new VIP 150 My muffler broke off. I then had it taken to a shop and Was told a lawn mower muffler would work well(Also was suggested it off this site). I thought it was a great Idea. He took it and Welded it on and installed it all for 25$. 30$ total with the cost of the muffler and it was a pretty hefty little muffler.. Not tiny at all like the others, not cheap..
The bike sounded great. ran really well. But on the second day the engine cut out at a traffic light as soon as I stopped. I pulled it over to the side of the road. Wouldn't start. Turned it off, let it sit for a minute. Tried to start it. Started right up.
Drove it to where I was going from here.. Got there, and when leaving, worked fine.. Then on my way back. Turned the engine off to see if everything was ok. Tried to turn it back on.. Nothing... Let it sit for 10 minutes.. Started right up. Drove it around. Cut out again. Let it sit for 10 minutes.. However This time no go. That was 4 hours ago. Had to also recharge the battery sense the battery died.
Did I burn out my valves?. Is the engine Flooding with gas?. Carb?. spark plug?. Coincidence?.
anyone have any ideas on a fix?. I'm feeling lost. Really need help as it's my only transportation other than a bike.
P.s scooter is only 6 months old. about 6000 on the dash.
